Ended up with 9 petals somehow but still came out very cute, will be making many more of these For all the dc in the magic ring is it 16 total, one of them being the chain 3 then 15 more dc or is it 15 total, one being the chain 3 then 14 other dc I believe that’s where I messed up the rest of the video was very clear and straight forward

Chain 3 at the beginning counts as 1 double crochet, then 15 double crochet in ring. Total 16 double crochet for round 1. Hope it helps. Thank you for watching. I prefer your other version of this design... Twisting and turning and crocheting into and around a botton chain is so tricky, confusing and appears messy on the back.
