How to Crochet a HEART (mini size) - For Absolute Beginners

This is my second day learning how to crochet and I only know how to chain and I think I got ahead of myself when I wanted to try this cuz I’m failing miserably 😭 Edit: dude the amount of people who relate to this comment is wow ( anyways all y’all good luck on crocheting and I hope your journey ends up well! I haven’t tried crocheting in over a year mainly due to school ( as I am still in highschool) but I do hope to try it again over the summer!

I just want to say if this is anyones first time, its overwhelming. It took me so long and multiple tries. What helped me was slowing down the video and taking my time. Don’t loose hope!

Literally cried for 2 hours & I can't even get the first chain yet

The uh heart I made looks more like a blue raspberry and it took many attempts but I did something! And probably learnt a bit in the process too. Shoutout to my other friends who didn't get this right away ♡ Don't give up, it's okay to take things slow and not accomplish things at the same speed as others.

I was about to give up on crocheting because for some reason I just couldn’t get the hang of it but thanks to your awesome tutorial I was able to do my first crochet piece and it made me and my husband so happy, he loved the heart that I made him! Thank you so much !

I've been crocheting for a couple months now but I visited this tutorial only a couple days in and I completed it. I've come back to it now and I don't know how I did it, I thought I just learnt today how to to a double and triple crochet but apparently I was doing them all the way back at the beginning without realising. Shows how good of a tutorial this is that I could complete this so early without even realising how complicated it actually was. Congrats.

this was one of the only tutorials ive watched that i actually understood and enjoyed. im fairly new to crocheting and i hate it when tutorials cover the project with their fingers or they dont explain how to do a stitch they’re doing but this was perfect. i loved the repetition and how you didn’t jump to a finished project. thank you for saving me so much frustration 🖤🖤

DAY 4 and i finally figured out how to do this. keep trying because on my first day i couldn’t even get the magic ring right and now i just finished making my first perfect heart crochet!!!! patience and practice is the key. AND THE RESULT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

This was the absolute best tutorial on crocheting a heart, and I have watched a lot.

This tutorial is great! apparently what you wanna look for is like "absolute beginner" like this one because all the "beginner" tutorials assume you have basic understanding on how to do stitches so theyre like "do a magic circle and 18 double-triple-magic-super-loop-stitches, and some square-knot-triangle stitches and blah blah" and meanwhile you're sitting there like whats a stitch also, I personally always feel like tutorials go way too fast but this one is the exact right speed to see most thinigs without feeling like "come on already I get it" also my tip for everyone looking for tutorials like me is adjust the speed settings and make it slower if you need to see something slower

i don’t know how i managed to do it but i messed up one half of the heart LOL gonna try again tho, this is the easiest tutorial for me to follow that i’ve found so far! update: i did it! but i’m definitely using different yarn next time, the one i used was too fluffy to see what i was doing properly lol

okay guys, i see so many people commenting that they are stuck :( so a lil trick for the magic ring - instead of doing the usual magic ring, chain 2, then chain the no. of chains you need to crochet into the first chain. this might be a little bit confusing, so for this specific tutorial, chain two, then chain 4 into that 1st chain. this helped me SO MUCH, because i cannot make a magic circle for the life of me. hope this helps! ❤

Oh I messed this up so badly when I tried. I'll try again tomorrow when I'm not in a frustrated mood, I just always lose track of the magic circle and it's so confusing Edit: turns out I was pulling it through the magic circle wrong. For anyone else having trouble with this, watch what they're doing really closely on that step and you'll get it :D

now I watch it 30 more times to get enough done for the whole class. Happy Valentine's Day!

Super easy to follow! This cute little heart is officially the first thing I've ever crocheted :D The only thing I wish this video had was a list on the side that showed what we had made so far... I got distracted and lost count midway a couple times and had to go to the comments to find a list of the stitches so that I could count what I had and compare to find my place again
