I never crochet something before and none of the videos on youtube helped me to start, except yours. You show it and explain it so well, thank you!! ❤️ I already made two of this
@@sarveshdripz5914hi! hopefully i’m not too late but it doesn’t rly matter what yarn size. you can use any yarn that you would like and on the skein it should say what hook size corresponds with that! hope i helped. this tutorial was super easy and i did it super quick and i’ve never even completed a project lol
Hi! I am a beginner to crochet and thought this idea was so cute. I started by doing the heart because I thought it would be the most difficult thing for me and it ended up just like yours and i'm so happy 😭 thank you! Hope you keep posting more content like this, i'll be watching
@@sarah-yw8et the heart? I'm pretty sure it didn't take more than twenty minutes. Haven't finished the wallet because I always start other projects instead of sticking to just one 💀
Hey!! I spent 6 hours doing this today and I want to thank you, even though I made a few mistakes I actually got this done as a beginner! Subscribed :)
@@nooneneedstoknow769 Also my first time crocheting and this tutorial was fantastic, just because someone had a different experience doesnt mean its a lie
I absolutely love these RU-vid videos, I read your blogs also but sometimes I find them a little challenging as a beginner. Hence why these videos are so perfect, you explain it so so well!
This was the first crochet project I've done, and I'm so happy with it! It took me about a month because I'm a slow crocheter and I had to learn many new stitches, but it was so worth it. I actually did it all with a double crochet instead of single because I find that stitch easier, and it worked out great. I gave it to my best friend for valentines day, and she loved it! Thank you so much for this tutorial ❤
I never even had an interest in crocheting until I randomly came across your video. Your visuals and explanations are so easy to understand that I’m actually motivated to give it a try 😊 thank you
For my first ever crochet project, this was the most helpful video! Although it took some time, it was totally worth it. Beautiful pattern and easy to follow for beginners. 10/10 recommend!
So excited to turn this into a school pencil case for my stationary!! Tysm for the tut :D EDIT: This was my first crochet project ever and although it tirned out different than what i expected it looks really cute tysm 💗😊
I made this and sewed it into my tote bag which I made. I made it roughly the size of my largest book so I could carry any of them and made some areas for pencils and erasers. This was so perfect! Thank you mahum
I’ve watched so many tutorials on how to make like book covers and wallets and things like that, and they like, don’t even show their hand. This is explained so nicely, it’s all beginner friendly, and it can be used as many things! Thank you! Im gonna make so many of these
Just finished crocheting this!! The directions were easy to follow and I LOVE that it was customizable to whatever size book we wanted. I'm going to make a tiny one to hold a letter for a friend. Thank you for sharing!!
i’ve never gotten the magic ring so i haven’t been able to do circles or anything, even with full length tutorials and this made it so easy. nobody ever shows how they hold the yarn on the back of their fingers. very helpful!!
It’s currently 1am and I have been crocheting this ALL DAY since it’s only my 2nd day of learning how to crochet, I finished it and it looks so cute! I made it white-pink-white for the body and added red and white ribbons all over I love it so much thank you for your amazing explanation 💗🌸
This was great for me to practice my crochet while being excited about creating something! I learned the basics 2 days ago and just finished my first envelope. Also I've watched so many videos on magic circle to make a heart and you're the only one who actually taught me! I was very excited thank you!!!
I’m beyond grateful for all the love you’ve shown this video! Look at how crochet has drastically changed my life since I posted this here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_wvL9FAVDPs.html
I was looking for this comment before doing it so if you're wondering : I'm an absolute beginner (this was my first project) and it took me 9 hours to do the sleeve for 66 rows, 1 hour to do the top and 2 hours to do the envelope flap and the heart Thank you so much for this tuto it was really easy to follow, I'm so proud of myself for finishing it !
I have been looking for people to explain instead of just saying beginner and then expecting us to know every stitch or going so fast you don’t even understand what they are saying so I appreciate you going slower and i really felt you were teaching me I’m very excited to try this it is so cute
The comments here are really encouraging that I can also make this as my first crochet project! You are the only best crocheter youtuber! Your tutorials are easy, aesthetic and very helpful
I just made this as a cover for my ipad and it worked perfectly 💗 thank you so much for your effort in explaining it as easy as possible, it truly made me feel like I accomplished something.
im a begginer and i was thinking of a gift idea for my sister, and i didnt have money so i thought of using my old hobby, crocheting, and my sister loves books so i thought i would make her this! ur tutorial is super helpful!! thank u!
Just want to say thank you! I'm a beginner and I'm just so happy with what I did and it's all because of you! I hope you create more designs and share it with us!
I love this pattern ahh! I'm using some red heart yarn and it is working up beautifully. Instead of using the 4.5 mm hook, I used a 5.5 mm and some weight 4 yarn. You explained it so well. I never had to rewind it or pause it. Thank you so much!
This was my first crochet project as a beginner and your tutorial was perfect to follow along to! Thank you for sharing this, I adore how it came out 🥰
how did you go about adding straps? (if you did) I'm making mine a crossbody bag and I fear the whole thing might stretch out if I just attach it to the sides
This was my very first crochet project ever and I’m so happy with the finished project. It only took me about 2 hours or so to complete the whole thing and I love how easy it was for me to do.
I just finished making this, it was really easy! I made mine a bit smaller because I want to give it as a birthday gift to my friend so she can use it as a sleeve for her kindle. Thanks for the tutorial 💗💗
@@jamiecontreras4840 yes I took a small thin book for measuring because I dont have a kindle, I also looked up the measurements for a kindle online. Then I made a single chain row with the length of the small book + 2cm and then I followed the youtube tutorial. The fold/triangle at the end was really easy to understand so i managed to do it on a smaller scale too. Hope that helps!
@@effiemarkou3029 girl don't give up just try to watch the video step by step and focus on the yarn and hook so well and do the same u'll do it just don't loose the hope🤍
i learned how to crochet for this. ive watched so many tutorials on single crochets becuase i just couldnt understand it but u explained it so well i got it easily. tysm ❤ily
This is my first time crocheting and this is actually really helpful, i'm making a bigger book sleeve and it took me 4 days and its honestly worth it. Ill definitely watch more of your tuts😊😊thanks for the help
I am twelve and crochet is my whole life :D reading is next in line to when you intertwine these things you get the best thing everrr! Everlasting thanks to you!!
I saw this and thought "omg.... this is the most adorable thing ever...." sadly i own no books but i do have a tablet! It turned out so super cute thank you so much for making this!!! ♡
i'm trying this right now and it's sooo cute even now 🥹 thank u for this amazing video, love u 🤍 edit: i finished it last night and I’M OBSESSED!! it turned out super cute 🥺 right now i’m doing a love letter wallet for myself, hopefully it’ll turn out cute as well 😹🤍
I did a lot of mistakes during the process and the pattern doesn’t look like the one in the video, even though i probably messed up a lot im still really happy with the result, thank you so much for the tutorial, its not rush so i can see all the detail
yayyyy I loveee ,first time ever trying to crochet and it came out nice ! I went ahead and made it into a lil bag 😭. I almost cried I couldn't get it at first omg 😭😭 🙏🙏💕💖
realmente amé este video, ¡no hablo inglés pero con seguir los pasos que muestras lo logré hacer! aunque no me haya salido perfecto pues soy principiante es un gran video, gracias!
I just finished mine, and it was so good to make!! Since you just have to repeat the same thing I could just watch my series while doing it and then I got back to the video when I had to... Anyways, it was so easy to follow and it turned out amazing, Thank you so much for the pattern and tutorial ❤
Thx a lot Mahum for this easily explained tutorial! I'm a small business owner (I own Strings & Stitches btw!) and this tutorial rlly helped me as a beginner when I first started!!! Tysm again!
Hiiiii i just wanted to thank you for you videos !! I just suscribed even if i'm not a native english speaker i understand everything you explain and also i'm a beginner so thank you sm and keep going !!!
i’m just starting this but my work looks like yours so far!! i’m a beginner and your explanations are so good and easy for me to understand! thank you for this video!
Thank you for this video!! Would you be able to make a video about a beginner's guide to crocheting, such as where you get your yarn, and basic tips to know, please? Thanks in advance :)
Omg I had never tried to crochet before even though my mom always did it but I never tried to get her to teach me lol but I was tempted too much this year to want to do it and thanks to you I just made this beautiful book sleeve 🥹 I'm looking forward to continuing to practicing with more things, thank you very much sweetie 🎀💖🫶🏼🫶🏼
great tutorial but i have one problem, when i slip stitch around the top borders on sleeve (12:33) the point of flap goes flat. no matter what i try i can't make it stay pointy:') how can i fix this?
i actually wrote all of the steps down on my notebook and took it everywhere i go to crochet (cause i study te morning and work the night) and everytime i have some free time i try to do it and i finnaly finish it tdy AND IT TURNED OUT SO CUTE i love reading and sometimes i just like my book to not get the damage in my bag and this will save more then one book trust me and the tut is explained so perfectly that i only needed to watch it once to understand all of the technics ofc i wrote it down like i said cause there's no way i can remember all of this lmfao
I'm really happy about how mine is turning out! Your video has helped a lot, thank you! I'm basically making a phone cover instead of a book one and it's turning out pretty well! Also, how can I decrease the size of the heart?
For anyone that needs it BODY Slip knot Chain length you want for your bag ( LENGTH) SIngle crochet into second chain 1 single crochet into every chain Turn work so you’re facing the bottom half of the chain\ Insert two more single crochets into the last chain Go into every chain along the bottom side of the row Insert two more single crochets into the last chain This forms a round 1 single crochet into every stitch Repeat as many times as you want Slip stitch( Chain two, cut, tighten) FLAP Attach your yarn to one side of the body Chain 1 Single crochet Single crochet into every stitch until you reach the other side Chain one and turn work DO 2-3 rows Follow these steps for al the next row to get the triangle shape Decrease Insert one single crochet into every stitch until you have 2 stitches left at the end Decrease Chain 1 and turn work NEXT ROW Stop doing rows when you only have 2 chains left
pls idk what i did wrong but mine started to get way bigger than yhe book. it was fine at first, i did the size correctly but after a few rounds it was getting bigger than the book :( can someone pls tell me what I may have done wrong?
Do you crochet often? Bec I also had a mistake like that but I soon realized that I made a problem by double Crocheting instead of single crochet, which made my case bigger.
hi! i have a question, what if our book is very thick? do we add more stitches in the beginning when you add 3 sc into the last stitches the foundation chain?
hi, this project is so cute, but as my first one i am a bit confused... i did two single stitch rows but it looks thinner than yours and i'm afraid the side won't be deep enough for the spine of my books, i don't know if i made some mistake ;( also i don't understand which stitch i should go into to start going around the base
when you make the three single crochets at the end of the rows that gives space for the spine of the book. I had the same worry but i just kept crocheting around and it slowly became big enough :)
i'm a beginner AND also speak spanish so i know all the terms in my language but had no idea about the translations, even so you were very clear and easy to understand so thank you! looking forward to following more of your tutorials.
