My 88-year-old mother is confined to a hospital bed so I'm making her a special nightgown and the fabric is blue with little white daisies, so this matches the flowers in the material perfectly!!! I used embroidery floss instead of yarn so they would be tiny, to sew around the neckline of the nightgown.

@@georgias7289 I'm making a garland to hang for my 91 year old mom who's also confined to the bed,trying to make things more cheerful to her! To help them lie flat try "blocking." There's plenty of videos on yt on how to do it. Basically tho,soak them in water for about 10 minutes,then pin them on cardboard into the shape you want and let them COMPLETELY dry. You can also do it dry and steam them with an iron,just be very careful or the yarn can melt!
I can vouch for it that this was the bestest video of crochet tutorial so far. The method was demonstrated clearly, repeatedly (not to the extent of getting bored)..and it was easy to memorize. I must say..you are great for doing this video. Awesome it was. ♥️🌼

Lovely lovely flower. Note that if you want the petals to stay flat, this is the one crochet project you absolutely need to block. Heck if you lay it flat and put a heavy book on top for a few days, that'd probably work too.Alternately if you like the look of spaced out petals, slip stitch twice in the ring before starting next petal.

Hi Sunseems, thank you for watching and for your suggestion. That would be a helpful crochet tip video. To close the first round in this video I slip stitch in 3rd chain from beginning of round and chain 1 to secure the knot then cut the yarn off. Hope this helps.
