3.5mm. or E size hook

ABBREVIATION
ch- chain
st - stitch
sc- single crochet
sl- slip stitch
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
inc - increase = 2 sc in same stitch
sc2tog- decrease single crochet
[ ] - repeat instruction in parenthesis
dc2tog- decrease double crochet
tr-treple crochet
Basket Pattern
The basket is made with single crochet all around and enforces the structure with gardening wire.
Rnd1: 2 ch, 6 sc in the 1st chain:: 6 stitches
Rnd2: inc in next 6 st :: 12 stitches
Rnd3: [sc in next st, inc] 6 times :: 18 stitches
Rnd4: [sc in next 2 st, inc] 6 times :: 24 stitches
Rnd5: [sc in next 3 st, inc] 6 times :: 30 stitches
Rnd6: [sc in next 4 st, inc] 6 times:: 36 stitches
Rnd7: [sc in next 5 st, inc] 6 times:: 42 stitches
Rnd8: [sc in next 6 st, inc] 6 times :: 48 stitches
Rnd9: [sc in next 7 st, inc] 6 times:: 54 stitches
Rnd10-13: sc in next 54 st :: 54 stitches
Shaping the handle
Rnd14: sc along the handle then back to the Rnd, sc in next 54 st, sl
