For me, you have achieved the perfect crochet video. You get right to the point, your camera work is good, and your descriptions are precise and clear. Definitely subscribing!
Thank you for teaching how to do the Alpine stich. I ha watched various tutorials and I can’t seem to understand. However, you writing what to do before crocheting made since, but changing colors made it easier. Thank you!
Thank you for making this video. I tried following a different written pattern online and was unable to get it. This is great. Your videos are so clear!
Every time I look for a specific stitch pattern, I either end up with videos of over 15 minutes, or here with Donna. You don't need to guess where my first choice lies. Thanks, Donna!
Absolutely beautiful going to try it one of these days thank you for the great inspiring tutorial. Stay safe with families. God bless you and your family too.
Thank you for showing us how to do this stitch. I crochet kind of loose so I probably need to make my stitches a little tighter. All your videos are so helpful! I like how you show exactly where to place the hook. Thanks Again!!
This is a beautiful stitch! May I suggest doing a video on using self striping yarn. How much yarn might be needed for what size blanket and what yarns might work best. etc.
If you aren’t a school teacher in real life, I think you missed you calling. You are an outstanding teacher and I appreciate so much you sharing you skills!
Hello, I learnt this stitch many years ago, but love the beginning photo where you have used many colours. I was wondering if you would please share with us what yarn and colours you used for that one. Thank you. :)
I wonder if doing the DC foundation stitch would be better for this and other patterns that have chain and sc or dc -for example- as the first two rows. I love this as a foundation.
That's up to you. I find not everyone knows how to do foundation stitches (even though I have videos on them) - so I generally just start the traditional way.
I stumbled upon you by accident, & wrote your name down, & like so many of us, in this day & age promptly lost it. I knew your name had z's in it, as they did, but I married mine away thankfully. Anyway, I found you tonight, & thought I'd like to ask a couple of questions, if you don't mind? Where do you get your lively, dancing yarn? It blows me away every time. I had been down for a bit. I had a stroke, then, fell against the claw foot cast iron tub, moving it the 1st time since it was installed in 1946. They aren't meant to be movable by skulls. So, I was wonky for a while. I had the next stroke in summer of 2022, I believe, cause I don't have book in front of me. I'm eccentric on afterburners, which is something I like about you! I can't keep up to you, so that's a great surprise, ADHD, CSA SURVIVOR, DV SURVIVOR & IPDV SURVIVOR. Now, I've been diagnosed with HyperCapnia, which means I don't breathe out enough of my CO2. So, I've been self isolating since March 3rd/20. My poor husband. He begs me to just go for a drive, but if I get COVID-19, I have 7 to 12 days left to live. I'd rather have higher odds than that, so, I stay in my home. Now, if we could find something that would get rid of the severe pain I have🤷♀️! I've got Severe depression, Severe Osteoarthritis, Severe Osteoporosis & Severe Travelling Fibromyalgia. Both my parents died from cancer, but not the same kind, & my brother had colon cancer, but his surgeon show him, a life size man, he thought it was like an x-rays of him. Showed him all that was being taken because it was the cancer. Then, he showed him how much he was taking on either end, so he never had to take chemo, or radiation. He's been cancer free for at least 13 years.
This would be beautiful in rainbow colors even shades of a color like purples or blues going from darker to lighter either would show case this stitch as seen on the thumbnail in the blanket you showed first God Bless you
I have a question, hopefully you get this, do you just pull up the yarn from two rows down to use that yarn again in another row when changing back and forth from color to color? Do you tie it off when changing colors? What happens when you use multiple colors? Do you hide the yarn being brought up by doing a border when done?
Hi Donna how are you and your cute kids please show simple cardigans and caps IAM waiting next viDio IAM asking3times please show Donna your stiches very simple and easy because IAM asking your teaching method also very good God bless you donna
You can; however, it doesn't look the same as traditional alpine stitch. I generally recommend doing that only as a last resort if the other suggestions don't work.
