OMG Thank god I found you, I can acctually listen and learn from you without wanting too slap my laptop off my bed like the other channels... I have issues with peoples voice...might sound odd but certain pitches literally drive me crazy, you're the only person who I can learn from... the others it's like nails on a chalkboard.... thank you so much.... I love this pattern
I definitely feel the same way! Some people have voices that are so irritating that I simply cannot listen to them. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way, thought I was nuts lol
Redrum Splatter Fiber Spider is also a good teacher and takes his time like Crystal does. I hate when tutorials are like a race and don't show what chain to go in like Crochet Crowd.
Hi Crystal. I'm a pretty quiet person usually. But I've been following you from the beginning of my learning to crochet. And I just got to say thank you for teaching me. I always had problems with some videos. You are very detailed, and it has helped me so much. I've learned everything here on RU-vid. You're just awesome. Just want you to know that. And I love your style as well. ❤
I made this 4 years ago and I get sooo many compliments everywhere when I wear it. I made it with the exact same colors as well.. The Only difference is that I made it all the way down to my ankles 🤗
I just finished the oversized hat and just noticed I follow you from this video!! OMG you are just amazing!! I finished this poncho yesterday for my daughter and we absolutely loved it!! It was soo easy! Thank you thank you!! I wish we could post pictures of our final projects! ❤❤❤❤
Such a beautiful poncho! I love the hood on it and wonder if it would be an easy add to any of your poncho patterns…Your tutorials explain how to make any of your patterns so easy to understand, which is great for even a beginner! Thank you for all you do for the yarn community and for supporting other crochet channels as well. Have a super blessed day!
Well Crystal, I'm like you I usually don't wear what I make which is why I don't make clothing items. I only made a summer cover up and thankfully my sister did like it alot. So I'm going to make this in colors that I like and if no one likes it I'll have it for myself. Second delema, my Michael's has little to none in selection. Take care and thank you for wonderful tutorials ❤
Hi krystal! I made this poncho for my step daughters birthday! Thank you for your awesome delivery of how to do it as you make it so simple and easy to follow! 🙏🏼
Thank you Crystal, I just finished this poncho. I used Mandala Tweed Stripes & it came out very snuggly & colorful. I resisted making ponchos for a long time and this is my fist one!
I started one last year. Got almost done but never finished for some reason and just dug it out of my ufo pile. I'm so glad I was able to find the video again
Oh my goodness....im literally jumping up and down like a little kid!! Im soooo excited to make this! Thank you so much Crystal ❤ Ive made at least a dozen ponchos for myself.....none quite the pattern I wanted! But this one is perfect 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
Thank you! I have been looking for a pattern on how to make a poncho with a hood. But all the videos I would look up would be hard and crazy fast paced I'd get aggravated with having to go back and see what they did, which still made no sense. I love this! You are so easy to follow along with. And your easy and slow way of explaining what your doing is awesome! I saved this video so when I get a chance to make this I will be able to do so. Thanks again!! God bless.
I made this for my son’s girlfriend and she loved it! I used the same color yarn. Almost all of 6 skeins. No fringe per her request. It was easy and fun to work. Thanks for being such a great teacher. I’m going to make another one for my best friend. I shared a few pic of this on Bag O Day Facebook page.
Hi Crystal I have been following your Channel and I must say I am very pleased because I was wishing for something more simpler since this is my first poncho and everything I wish for you provided and I thank you so very much have a blessed day
Hi Crystal I tried to wake up at midnight to wish you a wonderful Birthday but was sound asleep apparently ; even with the Harvest Moon . This is the poncho I’m making with Noro yarn in green, purple , bluish mix of colors ( can’t pronounce the colors ) for my oldest daughter Violette . Enjoy that Icecream cake today and happy First Birthday in your new Amazing home 🌻💜🧡❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your pattern. I am making mine now. I love it. You were so awesome all your videos are terrific. I hope you have a wonderful Labor day
This is beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial. You’re a great teacher and the camera shots are great with good lighting. I just finished this hooded poncho as a gift for my sons girlfriend. She loves the color, I used the same one you did, just by happenstance. I’ll send you a picture on Facebook. Thanks again.
Hi crystal! I was just wondering if someone had guessed the right number bc for some reason that giveaway video won’t play anymore, well thank you for all the wonderful videos and tutorials they are so helpful and I have really learned a lot from them, I really hope that GOD will bless you and your family today and always! 🤷♀️🦋😁
It is so nice having the written pattern and tutorial for this. I purchased the pattern and when I get stumped I can get on my computer and there you are showing me! Thank you so much!
Thank you, Crystal. Just purchased the pattern. Your instruction and videos are wonderful...so clear and well paced. I love your eye for color, yarn choice and designs. I’m a fan!!👍😊🧶
On the Long corner ( only one) end your row on the second dc. Don't ch2. Ch3 and turn, going back as you came. It will still increase. Then you'll have an open front cardigan. 😀
Tfs..this is awesome...ive been on a poncho craze lately...ive made my grandbabies ponchos this month...i love them..i just want to keep making them, shawls...i love watching you, and trying to make some of the beautiful things you make...cant wait to make one of these....Tysm...xxoogb, love 👍Happy crocheting...💞🍁🍂💞🍁🍂💞🍁🍂💞🍁🍂💞
Hi, @dawnbrumbaugh!!! I was scrolling through the comments hoping that someone would ask Crystal @bagodaycrochet how many you need to chain for a plus size poncho, did you ever get an answer from anyone? Did you ever make this poncho? Just wondering because I really want to make it, I have my yarn all picked out.
I am so anxious to finish this. I started making it today and I am on row 11. I am using the brown and tan yarns from the Mary maxim mystery yarn. Oh it is just luxurious so far. I really want to wear this.
Thanks for explaining why the front and back are longer, I made a different poncho and I like it, but would have rather had all the corners the same. I'm guessing if I modify this by doing only one dc chain 2 dc instead of 2, all the corners will be even length?
I absolutely love this. I have a question. I’m a newbie and you we can adjust the size. Problem is, I don’t know. I want to make a women’s extra small but not sure how. Can you tell me or is there a size chart that I’m not finding to purchase? Please help ❤
This is a beautiful poncho. If I make it with two strands of yarn ( a black and then various scrap yarn) will I have to adjust the size of the hook or number of stitches. Thank you Crystal. I love your teaching style.
Crystal can I make the chain longer to make it larger? I'm a big girl and I just love this poncho. I need your advice to make it larger please. It is gorgeous!
This is the first thing I made for myself and I love it. Would shortening the beginning chain, in increments of 4, be enough to change sizes for a child or small adult?
This tutorial was great!!!! I was fascinated the whole time. And you were super easy to follow and understand what you were doing. Can’t wait to get a bunch of yarn and try it out!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am loving the pattern so much! The only issue I’m having is I’m using super chunky yarn (think super soft baby blanket since I have texture issues, I can feel normal yarn in my teeth from my fingers and it’s always too itchy) so my only issue is that the neck is way too wide when using my 8mm hook and I can’t keep the pattern going when I reduce the neck (not super creative) can you make a video showing how to reduce and keep your pattern?
Hello. As always i enjoy your tutorials when i have time. You do such a great and amazing work. I have a question: if i want to make a large and x large granny stitch poncho. How many chains do i have to do and what number crochet hook should i use? I would love and appreciated and welcome any advice. Thank you.
Hi Crystal, I hope I spelled your name right? If I didn’t, please forgive me cause I know you can spell it with a K also. I love your videos. You are very detailed and you are an awesome teacher. I don’t know if I have ever written you before , but I am from Texas matter-of-fact a little town called Princeton Texas. It is east of Dallas about 50 miles or so I didn’t start crocheting till I was in my early 30s and I am left-handed and right handed person taught me while at work. Third shift and the newborn nurseryat the hospital of course. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I love your videos and I hope you never stop but I know someday you probably will and I wouldn’t blame you by the way my name is Rosemary Warden.
Hello Crystal, I really want to make this but I am a plus size woman and need this to be larger, how do I adjust this pattern, can you help me please? I very much like your tutorials and find your voice very soothing and I want to thank you for sharing your amazing talent!!
