Crochet Bear Beanie (6-12 months)
Yarn : medium weight #4 (you only need about 3.5 oz / 100 grams of yarn)
Hook : 5.00mm / US H
Measurement : 17 inches / 43 cm circumference (un-stretch)
6.5 inches / 16.5 cm height

Make magic loop / loose knot
Round 1 : chain 2, make 12 dc in the loop. Slip sts. Close the hole in center by pulling the yarn tail
Round 2 : chain 2, 2 dc in every sts. Slip sts (24 sts)
Round 3 : chain 2, * 2 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 8x. Slip sts (32 sts)
Round 4 : chain 2, * 3 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 8x. Slip sts (40 sts)
Round 5 : chain 2, * 4 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 8x. Slip sts (48 sts)
Round 6 : chain 2, * 11 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 4x. Slip sts (52 sts)
Round 7-10 : chain 2, 52 dc. Slip sts
Round 11 : chain 1, 52 hdc. Slip sts
Round 12 & 13 : chain 1, 52 hdc (crochet all sts in 3rd loop). Slip sts
Round 14 : chain 1, 52 sc (crochet all sts in 3rd loop). Slip sts
Chain 1 & cut yarn (just enough to weave in end)

Round 2 (ear): chain 1, 2 hdc in every sets. Slip sts (20 sts)

Chain 1 & cut yarn. Cut enough yarn to sew it to the beanie.
