The "shine" in the eyes are the reflection of the light source. They should not be in different/opposite directions. They'll make your eyes look exotropic.
The best thing about yarn eyes is that you don't have to to BUY them, i'm always runnimg out of them very quickly and buying safety eyes is very annoying, and they cost a lot , with yarn eyes you can make as many plushies as you can easily, 🎉❤
I think the shape for a dragon eye would be completely different from these, but you can try changing the white highlight to more of a cat eye. So taking the white yarn all the way across the black area.
