This is almost a decade old but had by far been the most helpful with changing colors in graphghans. Thank you so much for making this and answering all my questions ❤
Now I see why I couldn't find an exceptional tutorial like this before - it's just been posted! I've watched quite a few other tutorials and I picked up different points however, this five part tutorial cleared up ALL OF THE QUESTIONS I had about changing color and moving yarn into the correct position regardless of where it might be. I know this is Mikey; I've seen his work before however not a tutorial. Mikey is a natural born teacher; he has the pace of this tutorial down perfectly and FINALLY, I can say I UNDERSTAND!!! If I forget, I've saved this tutorial! Thank you more than you will ever know! I can finally go back to the pattern I have been working on for . . . more attempts than even I can admit!
Thank you so much! What a very clear method and delivery. I bought a pattern off of Etsy which has lots of colour change. Never done it before and she sent me here. ❤️❤️
Just going to start a baby blanket that has color changes and I’ve never done it prior to this project. Your instructions were very clear and the visual was very clear and easy to see. Thank you so much for the help!!
TGFM (thank god for Mikey) I was always changing colors by snipping the end of and attatching a new piece, in the end I had a billion tails to sew in. Thank you so much for sharing this technique, you are a true inspiration and lifesaver!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. This method saved me weeks of work. I made a graphed afghan that would have taken much longer to complete if I'd had to sew all the ends in the old way.
This is such an awesome tutorial. Clearly demonstrates how to hide changing colors within a project with examples and clear instructions. He also shows the incorrect way to change colors so you can see why his method works. Thank you!
I'm on my way to finishing my first graphgan. I put it off for so long because I kept getting so frustrated. This video is so clear and precise and it answered all my questions. By far the best tutorial I've found on this subject! Thanks!!
Oh my, I want to hug and kiss you (for people on the computer purpose it's a figure of speech) for making this so easy for me. Now I am able to enjoy learning to make more of these. Thank you so much for the great video. Thumbs up.
Wow, I love this video it's so helpful I have this project that I keep working on and finally put it on hold because I was so frustrated with all the color changing and loose strings, now I can finally go back to it and do it the right way even if that means starting from the very beginning. Thank you sooo much for this video.
THANK YOU so much for making this video. This is the first one I've seen that covers several techniques and clears up any confusion I had. You make it easy to understand and follow. I agree with one of the comments below--what would we do without you?!! Thank you for taking the time to share this knowledge. You are a gem!
I love you. And I love your work. I'm a beginner and because of your clear instructions I completed the color burst afghan for my queen size bed. Thank you so very much
I am so happy that ypu have done these videos. I have been wanting to do projects like this but had no clue how to do it. Now I feel comfortable to work on a graph. Thank you for everything that you do on your channel.
I see this was posted several years back, however I want to say thank you so much for posting this! I am practicing how to crochet "graphgans" using single crochet. I use C2C alot, but wanted to try SC. Your tutorial really helped me to understand.
Thanks Mikey... this video is an answer to my prayers as I want to learn how to make a graph pattern on a cap.... .... your tutorial is so easy and clear to follow....
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've made a complicated pattern for a baby blanket with a mountain motif and had no idea how to change colors. You've answered every question I had!
Thank you! I love the Graphghans and I want to do some for myself, your transitioning from color to color is awesome and easy to do. I will be watching this again and again to make sure I get it correctly. Thank Crochet Crowd.
Wow. Thank you. I've been wanting to make a graphgan and now with your video, I'm confident I can do it and have it come out correctly. Thank you so very much for being so clear and for taking time to share your experience.
omg thank you!! i was so tired of changing a color cutting doing the color then adding new color cutting old ect..this makes it so much easier to just flow everything
You are so good I've been scared to start a project that I bought all my stuff for last weekend then became overwhelmed with the bobbin technic after this tutorial I feel a little better so I'm going to give it a go
Thank you so much I have been crocheting roughly a year and I'm starting a business.. But this had me stumped I even tried cutting the yarn at each change but that left me with a bunch of loose strands I didn't want to sew in later.. This helps so much..
Oh my God!! Your instructions are always on point!! You are amazing! Your videos are so easy to follow! Thank you so much for doing all these!!! God bless you!!
Thank you so much for your tips. I came here with 4 different questions and after watching this I now can continue my project with out any questions and I learned something new!! Very helpful and easy to understand, as usual with all of your tutorials :D
Oh, Mikey, what would I do without you?! I've been wanting to make graphghans for the longest time. I even have plenty of graphs saved on my computer of varying difficulties. I just didn't know where to begin, how to color change so frequently, etc. I don't think I would be able to do this without your help, as you're one of the few people on RU-vid who make tutorials for beautiful, sometimes intricate work and use simpler terms for someone like me to understand. :) Keep it up!
Thank you! Very helpful lessons. I think I may be ready to now do my first graphghan. Hope I can figure out how many to chain for my foundation chain & how many stitches needed for afghans of varying sizes.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I like more knitting than crocheting, but lately my projects call for crocheting. I was never sure how to attach different colors, or how to get rid of the extra yarn in the back, so I always tied a few knots in the back so that it never unravels. I have learnt a lot today so thanks again. Subscribing now.
This video is so amazing! thank you so much for creating it, it has helped me so much in trying to make more creative projects with seamless colour changes!!!
Thank you for this video. I was making my father-in-law a Harley Davidson blanket and could not figure out how to do this without the lines showing........A BIG THANKS!!!!!!
Thank you very much! That was exactly the information that I was looking for. Very well explained and now I'm much clearer about what I'm doing. Thanks again! Take care x
Hi mikey, I love your tutorials and they really help me with understanding. I have a really old afghan that my family has had for a very long time and I would like to recreate one but I was never taught how to make it. if I sent you a picture could you possibly make a video tutorial on how to make it.? Thank you.
Awesome techniques! Thank you! I need to undo a full row on a blanket lol I didn't realize I had the lines in the back and now that I see I get to correct them lol
