My Easy Crochet Magic Christmas Stocking Pattern
Use a 4mm hook to make the small bunting size, 6 inches tall.
If you use a 6.5mm hook to make the larger one it will be 8 inches tall when made with chunky yarn.
ch 18
R1. Hdc in 3rd ch from hook
hdc in the next 15 chains (total 16 hdc)
R2. Ch2, turn, hdc in between the posts of the previous row, work all the way across, including the last hdc post and the ch2 space. (16 hdc)
R3 - R6. Repeat row 2 until you have 6 rows of 16 hdc.
R7. Ch2, turn, hdc in between the next 15 posts
In the next post and ch2 space, work 3hdc, you have now gone round the corner to form the bottom curve of the toe end. Work one hdc over each of the end posts of the next 4 stitches, 3hdc in the next, tucking the tail in under at the third stitch. You have now gone round the next corner and completed the top curve of the toe end.
R8. Hdc in between the next 15 posts (yes you are now working over the beginning chain as well to make the leg section)
R9. Ch2, turn, hdc in the next 10 (you are now making the leg section)
R10 - R18. Repeat row 9 until you have 10 rows of 10 hdc
If this is your first half, chain 1 and cast off leaving a nice tail end to sew in.
If this is your second half, chain 15
