Great project Crystal! A tip to make getting the number of border stitches equal is to use stitch markers. Measure the first side and mark the halfway point, then mark halfway points on both halves. Then you can divide the total stitches you want by 4 and place that number of half double crochets between each stitch marker. This way if you have to rip out and recount, you don't have to rip out the whole side, only one quarter at a time.

That’s awesome... Crystal is an amazing teacher! I’d love to try this too - but lighter colors, so I’d be able to see the stitches better Maybe 3 different light shades of blue 🥰 Unless I switch the dark brown with cream b/c I love browns

You are an awesome teacher!!! So very pretty!!! I am using this pattern to make a blanket for a friend of mine. I can't believe I can now do intermediate/advanced beginner now all thanks to you!!! Can't wait to make a pair of these cushions & maybe an afghan to match😍 I think I will buy a cheap pillowcase & stuff it to match whatever color yarn I choose to make them in, (that way it won't be so noticeable as the white pillow).
