I apologize that you feel misled! I call it a 'stitch' as that is how the technique is referred to in cross stitch which was my main inspiration for this look/outcome
I can’t with those people… Why is everyone so upset? I mean clearly you can’t reach the result like this only by crochet alone, but I’m so glad this method exists?? Like it’s genius! Why are people mad? Cross stitching isn’t that hard to learn and it’s so fun, like isn’t it a lovely opportunity to learn something new? I don’t think the title is clickbait either. I mean it is Tunisian crochet, the base is. Well, anyways, big thanks to the creator for showing the creative process & inspiring! Can’t even imagine how frustrating it is to see all these comments, because clearly your intention was to be helpful. ❤
i used to cross stitch a ton, but i can’t see that well now, so i had to stop. this looks like a great alternative though, should be fun. saving it for those long winter evenings for sure. thanks for sharing ❤
I've been trying for pixel crochet for a while. This is great! Thanks for the tips for making the squares look full (smaller hook, double-thick X stitch)
Ok but which stitch is the base? Id love to see a full process where you show how to convert images to pixel art/crosstitch patterns, then how to make the base (cream) fabric, then the actual application of method. I want to make my son a mincraft creeper pillow and this would be perfect!
The base stitch is called tunisian simple stitch! RU-vid can provide an easy tutorial to make it, although you might need to buy a special hook that's longer to make a pillow.
@@lanasolos_ I have a full set of t-hooks I bought them with the over confident belief that I could totally figure it out lol. Im getting there its just taking a wee bit longer than I thought it would. Thank you for the info, I will search away.
ill get to work on a start to finish process vid!! thank you for your support, i want you to have all of the necessary knowledge to make the BEST creeper pillow for your son 🫶🏻✨
This is awesome in every way possible!!! I had heard of tunisian crochet in the past but never thought anything of it or looked into it. Here because I wanted to learn how to put pixel art on top of crochet... your sample is SOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUTE!!! 😍 I wanna try this, so I guess I'm gonna have to look into tunisian crochet, the tools needed and where to get them, and also how to pronounce 'tunisian' as well LOL!!! 🤣 If you would consider doing a small sample and demonstration of the entire process of this technique in a future video, that would be absolutely EPIIIIIIIC! It would be a great one stop watch for those of us who are visual and auditory, and don't want to go searching elsewhere for instructions on how to create the featured project. Your sample was so cute! Fawn 💕
Although I thought it was going to be a crochet stitch (to me it looked like a bobble stitch to make the pixels), it's a great idea I'll try it Thanks for sharing
man idk why anyone's hating on this! you were so clear in the video, thumbnail, and title 😭😭. Great video can't wait to see more!! (also p.s. imo if you are using a crochet hook, you are doing crochet likeeeee)
you don't show ANY crochet in this video.. i feel like how to cross stitch ON crochet would've been a more apt title.. going to go cry myself to sleep over this
@@conan4real this has been brought to my attention so i've changed the title of the video but unfortunately cannot change the thumbnail at this point in time. if you're interested i do have a beginning to end process video uploaded after this one, have a great day :)
@@katsscorneru changed the title but it still says “crochet pixel art” which is simply just not what you’re doing lol. it’s basic embroidery cross stitch. how disappointing :(
Hey Kat! Would you consider including a link for the tunisian crochet hooks you use in this video as well? There is a lot of traffic on this video, and viewers may be curious to know- especially if they haven't proceeded to watch the full tutorial! 😊
I'm making a bag for my mum as a gift but I've never done tunisian crochet before. I want to do a little tapestry to practice first but I was unsure how to do a nice pixel art. This is perfect. Thank you so much for sharing! :)
