Just for the record, regardless of equipment, your teaching abilities compensate. I love the older videos where you can hear Clark, your husband, and kids in the background. Very calming and adds to the "you can do it" atmosphere when you're calmly stitching away while instructing us AND have all those things going on around you. Thank you, Crystal, for all you do.

I was wondering the same thing…my question is would it take a lot more yarn than a different stitch to make a blanket?
@Pakrs61

I'm using this stitch with an ombre yarn then alternating with 1 color doing double crochets, it's a queen size blanket and I wanted different stitches for texture and interest. You're right, as a border this would be great, thx for sharing your idea! My only concern is, do you think it'd get hard to handle because of the bulk of the blanket? I'd need to add a border of sc, or should I do to 2 rows of sc before starting border? Thx for your help!

If you want easy do a double crochet on each row across, and you could do every other row in back loops only just keep track of your stitch count.

Crystal you don't have to apologize for the dark color cause you have enough light color under and behind your hands so you can see the stitches you make. This stitch is interesting.😊

This is actually very cool! I love that it's reversible! This fabric is thick and hearty and great for totebags, cup/can cozies, pet beds, oven mitts (don't use acrylic!!!), etc. The cool thing is, if you make a totebag with it, you can also use it to make the very sturdy handles! For handles, just make them the length you want but only do a few rows then sew the top and bottom rows together to make a "tube". Then sew those handles on to your bag. You can also "color phase" with this stitch... like start out with the brown/beige, then after 10 rows or so, switch out another color for the brown (like a lighter brown), but still use the beige...do another 10 rows and switch out the beige for another color (like off-white), etc. There are just so many possibilities with this! Thank you, Crystal!! 💜

I love this stitch and I especially love using 2 colors and being able to carry the color along. I hate using 2 or more colors and having to cut and add new colors, then have a ton of tails to sew it once you’re done! 😕 Thanks Crystal for another amazing stitch tutorial ❤️🧶
