Idk who you are but I love you so much, as an 16 year old crocheter I love this so much spider spider spider and all the others iv seen on your page just I love you😭
Hi, I just wanted to say that I’m loving all of your videos and patterns. I’ve already made the skull and the snake, the spider might be next (you have so many cool patterns it’s hard to prioritize the order in which I want to do them). At the end of this video you commented about possibly not doing so many long videos anymore? I’m not new to crochet, but I am relatively new to Amigurumi, which has so many of its own techniques that I really appreciate the longer videos, so that I can learn all the tips and tricks that are specific to this form of crochet. I have bought a couple of books, but some of these things are better learned from video. I also just wanted to say thank you for making these videos and compliment you on how unique your patterns are.
I actually Googled their eyes and put the 3 along the top of each side of the head since that's how they are irl. It worked out really cute and there's plenty of room for smaller eyes (in proportion to the face and the 2 main eyes, like how they are irl) but I also used 2 strands of yarn to make mine so he did end up bigger than the one in the video. That probably helped.
Such an adorable spider!! 🕷 I love him/her!! I was waiting for this weeks video to come out - thank you!! 🥰🧶 Oh and congratulations on getting over 8k subscribers!! You deserve all of those and more!! Oh and your shelves look lovely and organised! 😂🤩Xx
@@ComplicatedKnots No problem at all!! Organising is essential! It’s crazy how talented you are to design and make all of these!! I wish I was as talented as you! 😩🥰🥳
Excited to start. I am writing down all the steps. I dont know if this has been pointed out yet, but around 7:59 you say to change to the pink on the last stich of row 14, but you have typed its as last stich of row 15.
I just made this with black and rainbow sparkly yarn. Absolutely the hardest project I've done so far because of the black yarn omg, but it;s super super cute and I'll try and send you a photo on instagram
Struggled a little bit on the body but then I figured it out and the spider turned out adorable! Instead of green and pink I used red and white and I loved it❤ love your videos ❤❤❤
I’m 13 and I’ve just started crocheting amagarumi recently, for me this tutorial was quite simple and I struggled rarely with it. I think mine turns out very well so thank you.
The length of the video doesn't matter to me, I dont need every row worked or half of every row worked personally. Having the pattern allowed me to skip through at my pace and when i needed the extra detail for the sculpting stich it was there. But i do have to say the way you write the patterns out was a little confusing at first for me 😅 once i figured out what to do it was super easy. Its just a little diffrent than what i was used to seeing. But it did help condense it down the way you have it written. Thanks for the pattern. Im definitely not made for building patterns and im glad there are people out there who are. I made one for a friend using a chunky yarn and its so big ❤ she will love it
First year and I have done all your projects a few a few times XD and im self taught watching youtube but I did tackle my first own pattern thanks to you its a hippo which is funny since thats the animal you did for the video but my husband wanted a Blue hippo XD ours is sitting with his feet on top of his back feet all and there adorable, I will note I do like the longer videos but honestly thats more because it feels like im working with a person instead of my laptop if that makes any since. I can follow you pretty nice on the shorter ones as well did get ahead of myself thinking the back stitch was the back loops so had to go back and redo that row which made me go I new this cuz I do waffle stitch blankets XD what threw me was the go behind and over but it did make it fun and it looks pretty cool as well. I could see using that for dragons down the face with smaller half bobbles and it looking really neat.
I really need help, I wanna make this spider for my boyfriend in a different thicker yarn, but don't know how big the eyes then need to be. I need hooksize 6-7, that's what is says on the label. Help me please
last time for this spider i used pipe cleaners! much easier to work with and is a little more posable through my experience! hope you have had a good week!
Every time I try to make this I cannot get past the head. Once I get to the body, the head is somehow upside down it doesn't make sense and I can't figure out why.
sc is Single Crochet, where 1 stitch is put into a stitch. Inc is where you put 2 stitches into one. So it's 2 combined in 1 stitch. Hope you can use it, I apologize for the wording, my English is not the best.
hey 11 months late, but the pattern reads: 2 [sc, Inc, sc], 2 [2sc, Inc] this means that it will be an alternating stitch trend in the same round. the number before the brackets (in this case 2) dictates how many times to multiply/ repeat what is in the bracket, so, for round three the pattern looks like: sc, Inc, sc, sc, Inc, sc (the first bracket repeated 2 times) sc, sc, Inc, sc, sc, Inc (the second bracket repeated 2 times) when written all together: sc, inc, sc, sc, inc, sc, sc, sc, inc, sc, sc, inc (16) stitches total
I love all your projects ^_^ I don't know what else to say. I don't think I should keep writing "cute AF" in case someone thinks I'm a bot LOL RU-vidrs suggest that we Like, Share, Comment, and Subscribe. So I'm really just commenting in the hopes that it will help your channel to succeed. You deserve the recognition ^_^
hi i’m on 17b but my stitches don’t line up with the middle of the head does it turn as i work?? bc i’ve redone it many many times and i have the correct amount of sitches
I've been stuck at row 19 for two hours lol 😭 is there a typo by chance? I'm still left with 3 stitches to work into at the end of it and I've frogged a million times. :( my stich count is right too. I'm just not getting it for some reason. I'll come back to this later, maybe I'm just missing/adding a random stitch. Edit: After frogging one last time i realized i was inccreasing +7sc instead of 6. Big "aha.. wooooow me!" moment.
I had a really hard time following the pattern and because you were showing examples of how to follow it from the beginning I had to keep restarting and eventually quit because I just couldn't get it down.
I noticed at 2:48 when you’re doing your increase 3, your first stitch of the increase is in the front loop and the other 2 are in both, are you doing that on purpose?
Hi! With regukar increases its called an "invisible increase". It's just a different way of doing the stitch that looks better on the final piece, and I think its pretty common? The thing with the inc3, that's just muscle memory from doing invisible increases for years. A true "invisible inc3" would probably best be done as FLO, BLO, then the third sc through both loops.
@@ComplicatedKnots weird I’m no expert but I’ve been doing amigurumi specifically for at least 3 years and crochet for around 10 and I’ve never seen (that I can remember) and invisible increase! Weird! I will definitely be trying it in the future thank you 😊
Hello. I am very new to this and need some guidance on what your directions mean as I am getting lost. When it says 2[ dec, 4 sc], 16 (26) does that mean do 2 decreases and 4 single crochet and do it twice then do 16 single crochet or does it mean do decrease then 4 single crochet then do decrease 4 single crochet then 16 single? I am from the US and have never learned the pattern names only ever followed instructions?? Hope this makes sense???
Just chain until you have a strand long enough to make a circle the size you want! Then just pin & sew to your spider. If you want a thicker circle, you can join the chain in a circle and work a row of sc around :)
I don’t have big enough safety eyes 😞 trying to find a way to make my 14mm eyes look bigger. Tried felt under them but didn’t look right. I’ll keep trying
I can’t even start to finish the pattern because it’s worn you say to put 16 in row 3 but with your combination that you have it only equals a total of 8+6 who’s is 14 if you would think about it which would make your next row 20 you should probably go fix that one
@@chazitymelton3762 Hmmm, ok. This can get a bit tricky to diagnose over comments, but that doesn't mean we don't try! You'll know pretty quickly if your spider butt is going to be in the correct place after R15 - basically all 6 of those increases will fall across the top. At minute 9:00, you can see that our active loop is behind the top-right corner of the head (if he was facing us), and that there is 12 stitches in the round. The first thing you should check is if that is where your active loop is at that point; if not, you could go row by row and see where the issue was, OR just work sc around until your loop is there - your spider will turn out SLIGHTLY longer, but it won't make a big difference. If that's not the problem, confirm you definitely have 12 stitches in your round after R14. If not, let me know how many you have and I'll help craft a row to get you back on track. If this isn't right, best guess would be that a stitch got dropped or added during the bpsc. Let me know if one of those two things helps! (Sorry for the long comment!)
The eyes are going to be the main focus, not the bpsc, so do your best to make sure they look even on both sides regardless of what's happening with your ridges. I'm not sure what "weird" looks like in this context, but it can always be an eyebrow, or just mark the sides of the head if you need it to. If you haven't gone too far past it, another option would be to just replace the bpsc with sc. Your head will come out a little more rounded, but that's not the end of the world.
@@ComplicatedKnots Thanks for your answer ! Yeah i focus to much on the BSPC, i did your axolotl tutorial and it's look great. i'll wait till tomorrow and make another try with another yarn mine is really super super chunky x).
I’m having this issue too and it’s making it hard to place the 2 big eyes but I know it’s because this is made with continuous rounds (a spiral) that’s why the side don’t line up
Between about 14:29 and 15:26, I lost stereo audio (sound only from left hand headphone) - I don't mind, but I think that caused audio problems some people a few videos back 🍰 Also, if the florist wire is too temperamental, you could try some chunky(ish) copper/brass wire - they should be malleable and non-reactive with water and fairly inexpensive. (Though I haven't used them myself, I've been meaning to try it out for ages now.)
Dang it. Thanks for letting me know, I know what causes this I just do most if my editing with only one headphone in 😅 thanks for the wire recommendation! I know I should just get better wire, but I just have so much left of this floral stuff 😂
I feel like this tutorial isn’t very helpful to people who don’t understand very well how to read rounds. I’ve made a few projects here and there and I got lost on the 3rd and 4th round with the 2[sc, inc, sc]
