Took me a few tries (all my fault!) but I learned something crucial...crochet loosely or it won’t work! You won’t see the correct stitches unless you loosen up!! I’m a very tight crocheter so I had to force myself! The finished product is fantastic...much easier than the traditional icord! ❤️
I do a lot of sewing but decidedded to revisit my crocheting hobby. I was never an advanced crocheter but sometimes have projects that can benefit from yarning. I have never made a crochet rope but using this method I am sure I will use it for other applications. Thanks!
I have my volume up full & it's hard to hear you compared to other videos, also as a new to crotchering, it's hard to see what your doing, its a little fast for me too. But thank you for your posts. 😊
I'm making a Moses Cradle for my new Grand due in August. I'm designing the pattern as I go. I've made thick yarn out of 4-ply, but I'm disappointed. The sides seem flimsy. My idea is to put a cord (at first I was going to use clothesline I'd crocheted over along the base and then at the top of the side but after watching this video I think this cord might work. My question is can it be made thicker (more than three stitches) and remain as stable?
Hi, it could be made with more stitches but would be hollow in the middle. I’ve not tried it but you could try a wider version and thread your washing line through the centre perhaps??
Thank you for your feedback. I will keep this in mind for future tutorials. I hope you can pause and rewind the bits which you weren’t able to catch. The middle of the video is sped up intentionally to keep the tutorial short and succinct.
