Really enjoy this experience with the ticking clock and Australian bird in the background. Lovely pattern and superb tutorial. Thank you for no annoying music.
A wonderful tutorial of a beautiful and different granny square. I must add that you have the perfect voice for tutorials, calm and clear but with the added bonus of a sense of humor. Thank you so much.
Oh WOW!! What a lovely comment to make. Thankyou so much. You made my day. This is a super gorgeous square and so versatile. The designer is a genius. Wishing you a wonderful day. Happy crochet xx
Thank you for a very easy RU-vid tutorial to follow, your patience is lovely to listen to. I’m making a baby blanket in sage green with a white border and joined with a light grey. Thanks again from Katrina in NSW 🇦🇺 Australia 😁
Hey Katrina!! I'm in Brisbane!! So pleased you found the video useful. Your colours sound spectacular. It is such an elegant square, those colours will truly do it justice. Have a wonderful weekend!
I came across your tutorial and wanted to thankyou so much for sharing nd explaining so beautifully. I especially appreciated the fact you guided us all the way around the square making it a bit more easy. Thanks again from the UK❤
So pleased you found the tutorial helpful Rose!! This is one of the most beautiful and well designed squares. Glad I could make your day a bit easier. Happy crochet xx
This was the most challenging square I have attempted and you did a wonderful job explaining and demonstrating step-by-step! Very fun to make! Thank you so much!
Very nice tutorial; so easy to follow along. A lovely, lovely square. I had just printed the directions last night and found your tutorial today...it was meant to be. Thanks for your extremely clear tutorial, especially on the single crochet, chain, and join❣️
Thanks so much for such a lovely comment!! This video might help. I love these joins! Happy Crochet! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BszTmM3fTUM.html
Thank you for this tutorial. It was easy to follow. I’ve searched others patterns like this and kept coming back to this one. Can you show us how to attach theses squares in order to make a blanket or an afghan?
This video has 4 joining methods and the flat slip stich is in there. zig zag ia great too.. but my preference is the simple flat slip stich!! happy crochet!
What kinds of projects have you used these in? They’re so beautiful, and I know I could combine them for a blanket, but curious if you’ve used them for any other projects that they worked well in.
Hi Jodi!! My favourite join is the flat slip stich and I use it a LOT.. and yes, I have used it with this square. It looks lovely with anything, whether you use a contrasting colour yarn or not. I did try this square with the zig zag slip stich join, but just felt that it detracted from the elegance of the pattern. I think a join which is simple is the best for this square.
Would this work as a more lacy bedspread motif? I love crocheting with size 10 thread, figured if I use the appropriate size hook it'll turn out fine but just wanted to make sure!
Hi Teresa. I think that would be really hard and of course, there are so really great blankets out there, which are designed as blankets and not blocks like this. If you do manage to find a way.. please let me know! Happy crochet!
