Im surprised it turned out the way it did, he didn't prep the surface , he touched it with bare hands putting the oils from his fingers on it, started and stopped in the middle of the panel
if you take your time and practise I'm sure you can come up with something great! (Worst case scenario give it a go and if you hate it spray it a flat colour :) )
You can commission to have the plates painted for you. I paint controllers and I run an Etsy shop. I would definitely be willing to do plates but you'd have to send them in.
Spray at a 45 degree angle about 8-10 inches away from it. Also, put a box over the pieces yoyr painting so no flying debris gets on the paint job while it dries. I painted mine and right before clear coating I sprayed water on it so now it has water dropplets on it for the paint job it looks rad 😊
looks amazing bro good job!! =O my main issue is even if i paint a cover or a joystick either using primer or not i still can scratch the paint out with my nails =( and yes i used alot of types of varnishes and paint seal protector, if you have an advice for me it would be great bro
Have you figured it out? I have painted a few things and deal with the same issue. It is time to painting my sim rig and I dont want to deal with scratches on such a big project.
Wow didn't sand down the PS5 panels?? And the colors and drawing looks great! All other tutorials have ppl sanding them down. Is sanding the panels down recommend??

I’m looking at painting mine too as I cannot find the colour I want….which is THAT orange you’re using. Lots of bright reds being sold, no oranges. I don’t want to use a vinyl wrap. I was going to buy a matt black set and paint THEM and keep the original white set just in case. Thanks for showing us how to do it 👍🏼👍🏼
Shit is dope but I would have done the original psx colors yellow orangish red green blue but I lol u got half of them already really like this it’s the same way I would do things before my accident very centered even and symmetrical I can’t stand uneven sloppy art
Design is badass. But idk not feeling the orange.. .takes away from the design if you would of done red since you have red in it would of made more sense and looked better but no doubt design. Or done is aussie colors mate.

so if i were to want to spray my PS5 side plates a pure color, (black in my case), would i spray the back of the side panels as well, like where the clips are?
Managed to snag a ps5 and the second I saw that white I immediately thought I need to put something on this. Now I just need to come with the design thanks.
Freaking awesome! Anyone reading this that is planning on customizing this, you need to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL and make sure you dont get paint on the bottom. It can damage the console and cause the plastic to melt and fry the circuts and stuff.
