Almost reminds me one of those channels with fake restoration, when guy breaks models in convenient way for restoration (just scratches paint and throws some dirt on it :D ), but in this case there is actually lots of modeling skill involved, good job! That's sad, when channel like this has so little subs, and fake ones have over 200k... :)
As a 16 year old this sounds dope! When I'm older and have enough money for a project car, I need to get a model of it and put all the mods I do onto my project car, onto my model and keep it in my car😉👌 You have inspired me😅
You've made a static display piece which is fine, we're not children who play brum brums with these models. Great work all round making vast improvements. Some of the best mods and resto on RU-vid. 10/10
I found this very informative. Thank you for giving us the step by step tutorial. Your work looks better than anything that AutoArt could produce. One thing that would have pushed it over the top would be to use some flocking in the interior. Overall, I give this an A+!
Great to see the transformation from red to blue. I'm a proud owner of blue S2000 with black interior. Now I need bronze wheels :) Greetings from the Netherlands
I'm absolutly impressed and speechless what a great video and work! much respect from germany i also collect 1/18s mostly jada dub or pro rodz from maisto.. but its kinda hard for me to make any tuning on it. You sir inspired me! Thanks! Can u do a lowrider maybe ? cadillac fleetwood or even a crx ?
O azul das pinças de freio da SPOON, é de tom mais claro! Talvez vc.deixou assim p.ñ.ter problemas c.a marca? Mas adesivos c.os logos! Ñ.entendi! De resto ficou TOP D+! Very good! So good as a original! (Real). Good work!
Amazing transformation there, looks great with all the modification you have carried out. The colour you chose for the body is lovely too, well done. Subscribed.. looking forward to see more videos!
Damn you!!! As if I needed another thing eating up my time. Guess I'm into diecast model car renovations now🤷♂️ Thanks a lot for making it look irresistibly interesting and fun... hope you sleep well at night knowing I'm up late painting model cars!🤬 (and seriously enjoying it😉)
Color combo is sick. Love the blue with bronze wheels and red adds the splash of color. Really surprised how well headlights look considering the brand. Def a very nice build bro. What rotary tool were you using to polish with? I need a new one to replace my dremel.
Awesome work! And now it looks like a high quality model car compared to before, also it gives me an inspiration to restore my old modelcar aswell. How much budget estimate to restore it?
Haha indeed right😂 it looks more premium now haha..the parts are quite costly to be honest😅 but if normal paint job and set of wheels wont cost u much..maybe around $20 ~30
Do you do requests? If so, could you do a WRX? Any year and whatever style you think looks best! I feel like you’d come up with a clean build no doubt 🔥 Excited to see more!
Amazing job !!!!!! I would like to do some custom part in my models too like you have done on front bumper !!!! Can you make a tutorial of how to do it ?
thanks man! maybe 1 day i will do a tutorial for it haha, because for this lip is quite simple just using the tamiya epoxy putty and sand it to shape..just took time to make up the shape haha
What's up JH? Your boy Big A stopping by to congratulate you on your channel and to add myself to your subscriber base. I know how much time and effort goes into growing and sustaining a RU-vid channel so, here I am to support you my friend. I'm promoting my RU-vid channel and I would greatly appreciate your support as well. Keep those videos coming my friend, I really appreciate what you contribute to our the diecast community. hi, its a sanding plastic block..not sure what brand, but its a hobby tools. got it from my local hobby store. try google "hobby sanding block"? hope this helps
@@JHHobby I have already stripped bits off and started adding to my 1:18 crawler, I'm sending the Ford Mustang to someone who has a 1:24 crawler as it would fit his better.
Instead of sanding the car for hours just soak it in paint thinner for an hour. Literally comes out as bare metal just gotta flick off some goo with a toothbrush. That's what I do on all mine
Wow, great work! Did you apply the smoke effect on the headlights to outside of the lens or inside? I couldn’t tell. And what kind of paint did you use for that? Thanks!
thanks man! i spray the smoke black outside the headlights =) for the colour its custom mix by paint shop, pearl blue with little bit of purple. clear is Mr.hobby
JH-Hobby No problem! You deserve all the compliments. You completely transformed the look of the model and added so much value to it. The paint for smoking the lenses is just like a standard black spray paint then?
What did you mix to make the blue so pearl and dark? I’m making a custom Audi right now and I want that same basic material just in my dark pearl green. Thanks!
@@JHHobby thank you for the quick reply! I love the 1:18 model customization. I decide to start that as my hobby this year. And look forward to more 1:18 model customizing videos from you!
Fantastic video how did you stop all the doors and hood sticking when painting also what camera mount or set up are you useing when working on car is it right in front of you ??
Thanks! I put a small wood/sticky tack to hold them in position😂 and for the camera setup i use a mini tripod only. The camera is right infront of me when i shoot
Nahh man..its not always stripping the paint is the best solutions, i know alot youtuber do that but from a automotive painter perspective i dont think its needed..way more tools needed to strip the paint and more holes need to be cover up, and if you dont prep the metal properly you will end up rusting metals in the future causing more paint rash.
So how to you get the wheels to fit perfectly? Like do do the custom wheels have the same thickness as the original ones? ‘Cause I want to attempt something like this but 1. I don’t know what size i should buy for the wheels, and 2. How do I make them fit? Thanks a lot, and you probably already know I’m a newbie when it comes to these things, hope someone can help me out :)
Hi, this you have to try with the model u want to custom and find the offset needed..if not wide out, its easy, you can just add plates, if too wide out you have to figure out how to trim them to fit😅
Cool 😆 And by the way, you can ask, how many years the glued piece of plastic will last, you can say very interestingly, just write to the Translator in Russian 😆
This resto-model blew my marbles in twenty million hot wheels cars... If that makes sense And also the wheels on this euro-slayer will make a fiat multipla at least half decent xD
