Thanks mate - clear and consise. The web is chock full a half-smart "do it like this" anecdotes but your video built my confidence to try what you recommend. I'm too old and time poor to waste more time f'ing around and then have to unwind the changes, so confidence to even bother to start is a big thing for me.
I hope they make it so we can customize the color for each DPI setting, it annoys me that my colorblindness makes it a headache for me to distinguish the first and third settings
This is how I use my mouse from Logitech as well, it have Marco to switch space, call Mission Control, spam left click, switch browser tab, change dpi, forward and backward page and a custom fast key for game and also a custome key for calling to Notification Centre. This is just amazing customisability, much better than any mouse claim to be made for business users, not to tell the much better sensor and ergonomic grid, far better than lots of random mouse, with wireless connectivity. However, it would be great for it to support Bluetooth, which make the use case of the mouse much more versatile. However, I have served me really well and last way too long for a mouse to not fail. That’s why I’m not replacing my g402 any time soon (no, it’s not wireless, but for 502X light speed, it’s), unless it double click and things starts to fail which could be repaired fixed. I like the idea of Mac desktop switching, but the Magic Mouse does that already. My main system is Windows 11 and I love using G-Hub macros, but mainly with keyboards. Having said that I use a Corsair K95, but I now also have a G515 which I am using in tandem above the K95 with its keys remapped for Photoshop shortcuts. I use a Master MX 3 mouse with Options. It is supposed to use Options + but it all goes pear shaped when I tried it, so I went back to Options and everything works fine, and I can remap the buttons as I need using Options.
Quick tip to free up your zoom in and zoom out keys - As you have Ctrl + C bound already, when you are not selecting text to copy and if you hold down your Ctrl + C binding, it only plays Ctrl. This means if you hold down your Ctrl + C button, then scroll the mouse wheel, you can zoom in and out without having to use the ones you bound for zoom, freeing them for something else. Great video by the way.
I have a problem with my g502x plus when it comes to saving my settings to the onboard memory. Nothing saves, its says the downloaded lighting effect is my custom one, but it just plays the default Pulsar Point effect. The same goes with all my keybinds, none of them save to the device itself it always just goes back to its default setting when I have onboard memory selected or when I have Ghub closed. Does yours also have this issue, if so was there a way to fix it?
Think about it like pressing shift on a keyboard then using your F1-F12 keys, you can change a second page of bindings, then hold a bound G-shift button to change the other buttons on the mouse until let go/deselected. it's like another profile without it being a permeant swap to one.
What is ARX? Can I remove that spyware/bloatware? Logitech support said 'we don't collect personal data..yet, after you install GHUB it asks you if you want to share data and you can't say no... just decide later and it puts a bunch of crap on your PC that you don't want and didn't ask for. I think I'm returning this mouse... this being dependent on the net to use the dam thing is asinine..I got the wired one.
why does it have to be online and require a log in. I get that these developers and manufacturers like to have their little Control center CIA HQ and be able to see how many clicks and where and who and what and pretend they are some powerful conglomerate and walk around with their ego thinking they have 1 up over everyone and can remotely shut down your coffee maker... The world is going this way, cars, TV, Phones, MICE! top results in Google states Logitech software is SHIT. I respect the brand, it is a great product line up, I praise Logitech but the software and require login and sign up so you can configure a button is BS.
