Awesome! I do suggest to ALL, one extra step. Stencil. By using translucent wax paper or the like, you can fold it over the tracing of your items, then retrace the inner border about a centimeter in. This keeps the shape when your trace the second one to foam, making the retention higher and improving the rigidity. Also, individual slots for magazines tend to help the longevity of the foam they are stored in.
@@kriskelly8201 I know, but ther in game item is based on a different hardshell caser than this one. Nanuk and Pelican both being companies who produce those hardshell cases.
Awesome...I do these steps exactly. The only thing I would add, I spray both sides with plastidip (3 coats each side) makes the foam last three times as long and makes it not get tattered from use.
Daka actually wastes space and it has poor retention and poor isolation. The spacers are like 1½" square. So all those square spacers eat up a ton of space.
Another lil pro tip I picked up was to use blacklight reactive “invisible ink” for the outline, then you can cut either side and it won’t be visible without a blacklight when you’re done
It looks a little less nice, but I personally like giving the optics a little extra "space" because they're the most fragile piece, letting the magazine side of the firearm be closer to the edge. Just keeps the optic from absorbing impact on a particularly hard drop.
I would suggest placing optics toward the carry handle. It's not as pretty opening the case, but will make sure your optics are better protected in the event your handle breaks
Really appreciate you sharing this video. Followed the steps and my double case turned out just superb. My AR10 super sniper and a AR15 SBR now have a new home.
Is upside down really necessary lol it's the same either way if you flip it around like he did or just put the shit down the way you want it to be first
Yeah we both know that's not true. It looks great for a few weeks at most. Then the little squares starts ripping, and you end up with one big hole instead of individual pockets.
