"Set as default file manager" isn’t showing up? Download the updated version of files app from GitHub. *Things to do: First uninstall the Microsoft Store version of Files app from add or remove programs. Now download this Files app installer. Run it to download the app* cutt.ly/vA3nu1d

bewidgets eats about 100+mb memory if you use 2 widgets, it's a lot for me tho because i don't have a high end pc, but nice setup

Thanks, very beautiful. I had already downloaded this app, I thought I was missing the weather, so I went to (Rainmeter) but I saw so many steps. Now my desktop view is splendid. I can even keep (Bing's fresh wallpaper) running with the weather and time app. Thanks again, very satisfied

6:07 window can't maximize into full screen and in the task bar area wallpaper is still appearing. To avoid this enable Auto Hide Task bar option in Task bar settings

Hi Tanjim, very useful video especially not needing Third party skin apps and Rainmeter. However, I downloaded the Modern File manager and followed your instructions but there was NO Glass background after selecting Light mode. There was no templates as shown in your video. Just lots of pastel coloured templates. Non of the cool coloured ones you seemed to have on your system. Also, when I changed the Nicetaskbar settings to blur, nothing happened. It was just the same no matter which one I selected from Nicetaskbar app. What’s going wrong? Can you help? Best wishes, Kevin

It is no longer necessary to apply a theme, just in the "Appearance" section change the background material from Mica Alt to Acrylic and you already have the glass effect.

It appears that you can get the glass effect on Windows 11 by following these steps Open settings > advanced > edit settings file. Close the Files app before continuing Adjust the values for the sidebar, address bar and file area to #00000001 and restart the Files app.
