How to cut a concrete slab like a pro!

In this video i will show you how to accurately cut a concrete slab with an angle grinder. In this case I was making a straight cut so i used a timber straight edge as a guide for the angle grinder. The result is a perfectly straight cut!

Thanks mate...I thought I'd need to spend hundreds on a big stihl cutter....when all the time I could buy a 9 inch grinder for less than a hundred quid 😊😊

Definitely only need a 9-inch grinder. I have had mine for about 20 years, and it's still going strong.

Great video. Would I get the same result by using a circular saw? Whats the difference between using the angle grinder or the circular? Thanks.

Hi, a circular saw will not cut a concrete slab. A circular saw is used for cutting timber, whereas an angle grinder cuts metal, stone, and concrete. Help that helps!

You can use a circular saw but you need a concrete cutting blade which are very expensive. Angle grinder blades are cheaper

You can get away with a 4 inch grinder, but i would recommend a 9-inch grinder as you can cut through the slab in one go!

I use a standard diamond blade and find it gives a good clean cut!

The grinder was throwing the dust from right to left in the video, and the wind was blowing it the other way left to right, there would have been a lot less dust around you if you had positioned the slab the other way round so that the grinder was throwing the dust in the same direction as the wind, otherwise great video.
