It's been so long since I haven't used a gift bag I thought I would surprise everybody this year and use wrapping paper. It's been so long I kind of forgot the easy and best way to cut. Thank you Merry Christmas. I know we're all hoping for a better New year

Hi 😍 I made ribbon n odd shapes wrapping videos as well. When I wrapped the odd shaped gift, I used hard paper. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5IVue2oK62Q.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-19dAcj2DaDI.html I will make more wrapping tutorial ahead. Can you tell me the measurements that I'll need for the following 3 boxes, 9x9x9, 10x10x10 and 12x12x12?

I must be doing something wrong because after cutting it doesn’t cover the gift. The instructions would be easier to follow using wrapping paper with a design on one side or different designs on both sides. I’m wrapping a 6 sided box with different length and width. The first cut I get but it’s the second cut I get wrong. To make the second cut do I place the box parallel (=) to the paper or vertical (|-|)? And is the starting corner where I made the first cut or the uncut corner? Thank your.
@rennie5693
@rennie5693 2 года назад
i placed it vertically the second time i believe! corner is where you last cut, and for the grid on the back i did an extra square or two of space. sorry, explained this as best as i could. hope this helps!!

Ok, I must be missing something because I don't understand what you did, tbh. Is it the same for every gift? So 4x for length and 2x for the other side? I guess it's just the captions that are confusing me.
@becborahm
@becborahm 3 года назад
Yes! This method will work any size of gifts. 4 x for length + one finger size (1~1.5cm)0:29 and 2 x for the other side +one finger size(1 ~ 1.5cm) 0:55 If your gift is a big size, something big like a guitar, I recommend you to go for 4 x for length + two-finger size (3~4 cm) and 2 x for the other side + two-finger size(3~4cm) because in my experience when the gift is a big size, it is more difficult to cut a piece of paper in a straight line. so if you give 3 or 4 cm extra paper at the end, even you cut a piece of paper slightly not in a straight line, your wrapping paper is not shorter than you want. I hope my comment helps you. :) Merry Christmas and Thanks for the reply.

Careful, these measurements only work west of the equator. Elsewhere you go in the opposite clock-size manner from the bottom direction and don't use left handed scissors or you'll have to start all over. (also make sure your paper is double sided! I lost a whole bundle-full of great presents when I forgot to make sure my paper had two sides)

She mislabels the turns you're supposed to use and doesn't explain what she's doing real well. First if you're using a roll of paper you want to cut a piece that is big enough to cover the entire object. I assume we all know how this preliminary step is done. Once the large bulky sheet is cut, take the object and place it at the bottom left corner of your wrapping paper. Take note what position it is in. Say you were wrapping a phone. Place the phone in portrait position, where its longer from top to bottom, at the bottom left corner of your paper. Now flip the object to the right on to its next surface/side, 3 times. This can trick you though, because the edge of the phone counts as a side even though its very skinny. If you had placed the phone screen side down, after the 3rd turn the phone should be on its edge with the screen facing to the right. Put one finger next to it and cut up all the way. Now the edge you just trimmed should be rotated so it's facing you. When you place the phone down on the bottom left corner of the paper again, it should be on this freshly cut side. Remember what position we started the phone in? Portrait. Correct, so now we lay the phone down on the bottom left corner of the paper, in landscape position. And flip 1 time. If the screen was facing up, it should now be on its bottom edge with the screen facing to the right. Place one finger, trim all the way up. Congratulations, that's it. From here you can figure out how to oriented the phone in the correct position and wrap it. Merry Christmas 🎄hope this helps next year lol.

Hmm i love It!!!! but why do you go FOUR one way and then TWO the other way? shouldnt you go FOUR all the way around ? i tried it and it works!!!! :D but i cant comprehend why Four and TWO can you please explain?
@becborahm
@becborahm 6 лет назад
Thanks for the question! when you measure it 4 times each way of your gift, the size of paper is too big to wrap it up. if you measure it how I did it, it is always perfect size to wrap and easy to wrap them up. I am so happy with your question.
@RazorCrusade

Just remember that a box has only six sides, not eight. The 'four' measurement covers the full circumference, and the final two are for the 'flaps' for the remaining uncovered parts.

How do u know how many times to flip it??
@noface4767
@noface4767 2 года назад
The cube has 6 sides, they went 4 times on one side and two on the other with one finger on each so that the paper would overlap without anything showing underneath.

My point is a tutorial usually explains how they do the things they're doing. That's kinda the point of a tutorial.
