How to cut a Six pieces skirt with Perfect line placement and also avoiding a flat butt 

For those having Issues understanding the knee part, this is what I did. If your hip is 36, minus 2 from It that Is 34. The knee circumference will be 34. Now 34 divided by 2 is 17. Now remove the bust span which is 6" from the video, you have 11 left 11" divided by 2 is 5.5 plus 2 is 7.5 which is what you will mark for the knee. Thank you Nancy tv for this tutorial. I love the curvy effect it gave my 6 pieces skirt.❤❤

Good job, I have been trying to make dis six pieces for long I could not o but ever since I watched dis ur lovely tutorial every thing became easy and simple for me and I was able to sew it on my own. I really appreciate ur tutorial ma. But I make use of six yards and the remaining fabric was 2 yards out of dat six yards so I feel I have waisted fabric oo ,,, so how do I go about dis????

For the knee measurement of the sides that you said it's hips÷4 _1.5 It doesn't work for me, because my hips is 7 after adding the allowance, so hips÷4 gives _1.5 gives me 7.5 which doesn't tally

Hello Ma’am Thanks for the tutorial❤️ but I’m stuck at the knee point. I’m working with hips 48, 48/4= 12-1.5= 10.5+ 1 = 11.5. Now if I’m placing the 11.5 on the fabric will I divide it into 2 at the knee circumference or I’ll place 11.5 without dividing it. Please I’ll be glad if you answer my question

Hello Nancy, thanks for the tutorial. I am just trying your method of cutting a six pieces skirt and I got stuck at the point of cutting the two side panels for both front and back. At knee area, you said the hip will be divided into 4 and 1.5inches deducted to get the measurement for the knee. I did exactly that and it's not working at all. The hip I am working with is 49inches, I divided it by 4 and got 12.25 inches, I deducted 1.5 inches from it and got 10.75inches, but it's not working because the measurement I got for the sides on the hips is 8.25inches +2inches allowance =10..25inches. Please check the instructions given and see if there's a mistake somewhere or maybe you correct me where I have gone wrong. Thank you so much as I anticipate your prompt reply

One question, you didn't include elastic allowance because you added elastic in the sewing, does it not matter?
