6:08 I would recommend you fold your towel twice to give you a square of four sides. Gives you more cushion and avoid causing scratches if you wipe in one section and buff off final wipe with new towel and you can wipe that one back in forth. Happy detailing 😀 P.s light pressure on wiping with towels

U should hv went 2000, 3000, 5000, 8000 wet on DA and just use the white foam pad then the back and blue . It buffs out so easy and u save so much compound . For as much compound u used I could hv done the hole door plus u don’t get no swirls from the wool pad.

If you're doing 3 step process with wool pad first, next use step 1 foam pad and step 1 polish. Also wipe off last polish step compound when going to step 2 and 3. Leaving some compound from last step will make for a coarser finish....swirl marks. Also try to keep your pad flat. Darker colors also finish best with hand applied Mothers Gold Carnuba cleaner wax. There are 2 Carnuba waxes from them....a pure Carnuba which is streaky and the cleaner Carnuba one which is best. I'm a little old school and still like the 10" orbitals to finish, more surface area and I think a nicer finish than all the smaller machines popular now (except tight spots like inside trailer mirror you don't want to remove). -34 years polishing....wow, didn't think I'd still be doing it! 😂

Have you ever had to deal with fine sand scratches coming back after being buffed. I work at a body shop so the paint jobs are all new. I've had this issue for a while. What I've been doing is sanding the nibs and peel and then just letting that sit for awhile before buffing that seems to help but I don't always have time to do that. Any help would be appreciated much. God bless

I also work at a body shop. I find that you need to let the paint cure for at least a day or two before a cut and buff. New paint that’s to soft tends to leave scratches due to pressure. Even a microfibre cloth will leave scratches if you apply to much force
