How to cut and mold decorative lampshade mica plate 

My local blacksmithing group turned me on to using mica like this in custom forged lampshades. I now see this is a thing that used to be widely done. Very cool techniques, thanks for demonstration of all of this

Guessing this shellac/mica mix would melt in the windows of an old wood/coal stove. How are those panes molded?
