I agree completely Susie Salmon. This is the third time I watch it for my husband's third haircut! I watch it every time time before I cut his hair again as a refresher. THANK YOU so much for this tutorial. I have watched so many different ones and this is the clearest and best explanation of any I have seen! I loved the addition of the sketches and then the way you connected the illustrations of terms to your guy by showing us with your comb. I have been cutting my guy’s hair for months based on other demos and today was the first time I saw your explanation. I applied what you taught today and it is the first cut I have performed that I am actually happy with the results. Outstanding tutorial!

Bless you! I have been so frustrated going through tutorials that don't make sense at all. (Wikihow legit told me to imagine my hair is electrocuted and never really explained how that's supposed to help. 🤦‍♀️ It also spent a billion years telling me to make sure I had enough time, to put stuff in the floor, etc... But gave me the most vague hair cutting instructions ever. "Then connect the top and bottom." Like, yeah, but what does that mean?) This has been SO helpful, especially the diagram. You are a life-saver!

Thank you do much. This really IS the best video on RU-vid for how to give a mana haircut. I really need to cut my husband's hair as he is turning into a werewolf as well as looking like one. Geez..he wants to go a year without a haircut which will be in late February, He thinks it's a badge of honor or something. He's usualky a really handsome guy and has gorgeous silver hair like Leslie Nielson, but NOW his hair just hangs past his shoulders like a girl...no shape and he has a mullet to boot. I cut a little boy this way for 6 years. He looked crazy at the beginning, but with time he looked better after my haircut, than after the haidresser's haircut. Training makes a master🥰😍I held my hand/fingers toward his head. Thank you for sharing. Ear section was always the hardest to figure out.

Thank you! Very clear tutorial. I have to make a slight adjustment on the back of my husband's hair to accommodate a cowlick on one side of the nape. When he gets professional cuts, they cut symmetrically. Unfortunately, when his hair dries it looks like someone took a bite out of the bottom edge! 😂 To avoid this, I cut that spot dry without combing downward (it grows horizontally there) so I know it will look right even though I'm actually leaving an isolated long section. This works well for us, so now he wants me to do the whole haircut! Thanks for the lesson! 😊

Awesome cutting instructions! Thank you so much! Just so you know, the occipital bone is where the nape is, starting above the hairline on most people. What you are calling the occipital bone is actually the posterior region of the parietal bone. The ridge/bump that you feel at the top of the nape is called the "occiput" (pronounced: ox-e-put). 😊

We cut dad's hair (with the clippers) dry. Even the manual on the clippers says to do it dry. To us that's easier. When we get to the scissor cut (on top) it gets dampened a little.

Yes but I wouldn't do too much over directing because it will start to look like a comb-over
