How to Cut Perfect Circles with a Plunge Router & Milescraft Circle Guide Kit

In this video I'll show you how you can use a plunge router and a circle cutting jig to create PERFECT circles every time!
The circle guide cutting kit that I'm using in this video is from Milescraft. The kit comes with everything that you will need to get started (besides the router). The setup takes a little bit of time but once that is tackled, then the actually cutting part takes hardly any time at all.

Thanks for another clear video. Please keep up the great work. I like that the jig has a ruler and I can't argue with the result. But it does seem to take a lot of time to set up and you end up using three tools (or two, if you're handheld router is the same as plunger). Were you happy with the whole process?

I will confess that the initial set up time is something to consider. The first time I set it up it took a bit longer but now that I have used it several times it takes a fraction of that time. But I will say that it helps that I have a couple different routers, which might not be the the case for everyone. I tend to leave the base plate attached to the plunge router that I use for this jig so I don’t have to go through the hassle of removing and reattaching each time. I am happy that this jig gives me the option for cutting out perfect circles. For some things a jigsaw will do fine because it doesn’t have to be perfect but when I’m making something that really needs to be a perfect circle I like that this gives me the option to do that. Once you figure out how to set it up it can be a useful tool to have around. Thanks for watching and for the positive feedback! 😊
