Great video. Thanks for sharing. It's very useful to watch from time to time videos of techniques one doesn't use very often. Great kick-back shots.

Yes I think its worth showing potential issues with all aspects of woodworking. Simple cuts sometimes can cause some harm if you don't follow safety steps.

Tomasz the only thing you forgot to mention was the fact that having a zero clearance blade cover helps alot as it stops any binding of the wood offcuts from falling down between the blade etc and binding on the tablesaw blade causing kickback of which is extremely dangerous for the operator of the tablesaw. 😊. As always brother 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.

Well I said this for a while now. I would pick the Rage 5S if the budget is a concern. This saw is not perfect but you can tune it up and can get it to a performance of a much more expensive saws. Plus it does offer a lot of "extras". However if I had £1500 or more then for sure I would pick up a cast iron top saw or a panel saw. I just don't see the point of spending money on anything between Rage 5S and a cast iron top saw.

I agree, a few simple changes and the 5s is perfect for the hobbyist

I'd buy another saw, it looks like a good saw, but on my one ... 1) The sliding table is useless, pull it back towards you as you would to start a cut on a large piece and it wobbles from side to side ... after moving the guides slightly it's okay when centred, so I have an idea that they have guide wheels or something like that which don't engage when fully deployed, hence the wobble. 2) The side of the fence is not square to the table, it slopes away from the blade, on both the original and the replacement I was sent. 3) The fence does not clamp square to the table, with the rear of the fence being ever so slightly closer to the blade (which you'll hear as a piece exits the rear of the blade and it does another slight cut). 4) The mitre is utter crap 5) The throat plate is useless, it's so flexible it's actually dangerous ... you either need to make your own or pay more money for the metal one they've just release .... I wonder why they did that?

@@barry.w.christiethat's the main issue with this saw I think, you either get lucky and get a decent saw or not. It's a bit hit or miss. However most of those obstacles you can fix or counter in one way or another at low cost.
