Thank you so much for the video rabbi. I'm here going nuts about my tefillin shel rosh thinking why the right strap was longer than left strap. Baruch HaShem you saved me from wasting time retying my tefillin!

Great video, as usual This would have saved me a lot of time researching. One opinion I found on the length of the shel rosh retzhua is that the right side should go down to the milah. I did cut my retzuot after I wore my tefillin for awhile. I wanted to be sure I didn’t make them too short. After a little more time, I shortened the shel yad strap a little more. I did keep the pieces to ultimately bury them properly.
