You’re a lifesaver. 2 years into this dizzy journey (started 3 months after I got COVID) and I am only NOW understanding how to deal with it. Been panicking since 2021 and I have finally started yoga and parasympathetic breathing. Those 2 are helping the most

Beautiful teaching.🙏 I take everything to heart…. And apply. This last year’s chapter in my road to recovery, has been about the self compassion of “ letting go” of attachments of People… places and THINGS. This chapter has been the most rough. Things like , behaviors, beliefs, people, relationships etc etc, that have been running a program in me for decades. Everything has come UP right here in this chapter. Very… very difficult work ( and time consuming) indeed as I have grown to know thyself. I was born fearful, and life was built around that. There’s no denying, we want our stable bodies back, ( I pray for patience too) but I love that you put it such a great higher archy of perspective. Heal your life… And the rest WILL follow. At 70 , I can see how my ( future) life will reflect all I have learned as i believe in wellness BODY… MIND… SOUL.

Makes so much sense to me! I can really equate to the term “neural circuit dizziness” and clarifies exactly what I am trying to explain to my doctor and optician right now. I am one of these people who nultitasks, always have and can be critical when I don’t perform to the very best of my expectations. I am now feeling more informed from this video and do enjoy your clarity of examples as well as your sharing of knowledge. Thank you always. Kind regards Isobel

It started of as your videos were my mindfulness escape lol even listening to them throughout my day in my headphones whilst going about my day. Ive also now started doing a 10minute medication video everytime i can tell im overwhelmed and it actually does seem to help how i feel. It kind of makes me a little more in the now and reduces the brain fog, eye stress and being depersonalised. Youre truly an amazing person❤

So true. A great explanation. One problem is what to do with persistent spinning during sleep that actually wakes me up. I would love to get out of the "factory" and find another job. If I think, great am I not dizzy, the dizziness immediately returns. If I tell myself when dizzy to let it go, ignore, refocus, am still dizzy. I have had Menierre's for 33 years. Feels like a no win situation. I need a new ear.

@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach 7 месяцев назад
Yes- slight caveat that I don’t use the word anxiety because people usually think of anxiety as a psychiatric symptom instead of nervous system activation, and many people who are chronic dizziness never had anxiety symptoms. I prefer to think of it as a nervous system calibration error 😊

Hello Dr. Yonit…. I went on a cruise and returned 2 months ago. I have experienced terrible dizziness ever since, but found your information quickly due to the fact that the dizziness was brought on specifically by the cruise. I am so grateful for your information. Your video on RU-vid was the ONLY PLACE that give specific instructions for getting the OKN stripes and how to use them. Also, I have been doing some deep cleaning (long overdue) of my thought patterns. This has been amazingly helpful as well. I told my brain that we were done feeling dizzy, and there was quite a battle for a few days. This sounds weird, but I am feeling myself come out on the other side and I am feeling ok for the first time since I returned from my cruise. I still intend to keep working and struggling, but this has been absolutely life changing. I’m so grateful for your information.

Thank you, I love watching your videos every week. I wanted to ask a question, please. I haven’t been diagnosed with “dizziness” in any form, but rather heath anxiety and trauma. My symptoms present more as physical movement rather than perceptual. I have had precious other mind-body symptoms. I have found working with a therapist to have limited effect since I’m panicked almost 24/7. I wonder if you’ve ever encountered this and have any advice for what I should do?
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach 9 месяцев назад
I’m sorry you’re going through this. Please start with the video on polyvagal theory if you have not seen that one already. Talk therapy is not helpful for mindbody conditions so it would also be worth considering with a therapist who focuses on somatics or emotions- IFS, AEDP and others help. Step 1 is going to be to calm the nervous system and there are therapists who are going to know how to help you do that.

Thank you dr. Yo! Fatigue and brain fog are my long lasting symptoms, it starts from my eyes then goes to my brain and then to my body! When I clean the apartment, cook and clean the kitchen or take a 15 minutes walk I get so tired I often need to take a nap. During summer I was doing better but now with the autumn coming on and its sudden weather changes I find myself even more fatigued and when I feel like that my eyes struggle even more to focus, is that normal? The only thing that helps me is pacing, and taking some naps here and there but its so frustrating, I was so damn healthy before and now I can do less than 15% of the things I used to do before..

Hi dr Yo, I believe I have 3pd or something similar, which stemmed from a marajuana induced panic attack I had around 6 weeks ago. I haven’t been right since (daily or by-daily episodes of dizziness and shortness of breathe). I have ensured to not ingest it anymore and I have already started to feel better about myself (as I also put a lot of pressure on myself in addition to this). But I would like to ask that from what I hear, to be diagnosed with 3pd you have to have symptoms for more than 3 months. Is this true in all cases? The reason I ask this is because I read a definition of 3pd to be near constant vague dizziness and brain fog which best describes my symptoms. If it has not reached the threshold of 3 months can it still be early 3pd? I have been to the doctor and my heart, Lungs and blood tests all came back clear. Many Thanks
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach 9 месяцев назад
Hi Lee, so sorry you're going through that and you are not the only person I've heard from who has experienced that. It can be "neural circuit dizziness" even if you don't meet the 3 month threshold. It is important to make sure there is no medical explanation, though. You can absolutely apply these techniques in your situation. Please consider the course, it's completely free. thesteadycoach.com/free-course

I'm not sure about this one. Maybe for some people that exposure therapy and pacing might work. But what if I have constant brain fog, that is not triggered by anything? It kind of looks like after my initial panic attack, my brain decided to shut down and for 2 years doesnt want to go back to its original state. There are no triggers to brain fog, its there all the time since then. Of course, strenghtening the workers is necessary, and this is what I'm doing, but I'm not sure if this is enough. What if the brain needs some kind of shock to the system, similar to what happened during initial panic attack, but inverse? I think this is what SSRI are doing, but how can we have similar effect without these drugs?

I think this may make more sense to you if you watch this video. Brain fog does not often occur directly after a stressor or physical trigger. The key is in the stress bucket. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SKEincksdCk.html

Parasites can definitely lead to health problems but I think the blame is often blamed on parasites when that's not the issue.

Hi doctor, I’m diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia. As the day progresses, I go from being tired upon waking to feeling extremely tired. That’s when the brain fog and vertigo really kicks in (at around 11am every day). I’ve seen 1/2 dozen doctors. I’m not sure where to go with this. It’s debilitating. Great video btw, my conveyor belt is definitely pushed to the max due to my sleep condition.
