SO grateful for Dr Cloud! I began to learn about narcissism Oct. of ‘19 and Boundaries in 2020, thanks to Boundaries.Me. Dr. Cloud’s brilliant books on Audible also teach about how to interact with narcs and MOVE ON from painful relationships with selfish people. At 63, I’m able to look forward to my future instead of just coping from day to day.

Hi I am Karen from Southern Indiana, I watch Dr. Cloud every day and I am learning a lot I have been through so much trauma I just lost my husband of 44 years and I outlived all of my children. I have really struggled I am not interested in another man but I am interested in friends and sometimes I just can’t put 1 foot in front of the other it is like I lived three lives that were all different I know that if I don’t start over and start living that I was going to start dying well that is the direction I’m heading because I just don’t know what to do I think this show is the only thing keeping me alive sometimes. God bless you all listen to other people because you’re not gonna live long enough to make all the mistakes and learn from them on your own

My mother was a classic narcissist with negative and paranoid additives. She raised me to be just like her. It took me forever to work thru my boundaries. I started early with your Boundaries book and workbook. I have been a member taking your classes online. They have helped me so much! I plan on attending this free seminar. For right now I haven't been a member as I feel I have learned so much and am doing ok. And since I am senior citizen money is tight right now. There are things I still want to work on but have to wait till the economy gets better and prices for groceries and gas are down so I can rejoin. I tell everyone I know about your online counseling and how wonderful it is! Thank you so much for doing these and other programs.

I am literally taking a break from dating until the end of the year because I keep finding dudes that lie to me and tell me what I want to hear and hide how they truly feel…but this one recently took the cake using talking about God to hide behind and then when I confront about meeting in person and being intentional, he flees…so fricken over guys wasting my time! Anyone else been here? Sorry if it sounds like I am ranting but this just happened yesterday so I am still sore emotionally.

Couple’s counseling never works with a narc. They need individual counseling with someone who can see through their bullshit! That specializes in NPD, and can stop it immediately!

He was Charismatic and a charmer and flirter

I had a councilor call me 4 times (to talk me into coming in to speak with my abuse)! She ALSO told me my husband could not come into the session with us! 😳whhaaaa!!!! 😆crazy crazy! I've been through LOTS OF various MANIPULATORS!!!

I get so confused about when he is actually on and when you are getting my comments like right now Jessica is on there talking about narcissism and Dr. Cloud is speaking to someone named Lori it is 5:15 PM my time I live in Indiana I have tried probably 150 times to get through to talk to him I always just get a busy signal but I’m going to keep trying he is helping me so much with all of the loss trauma and deep-rooted loneliness that is an emptiness and also losing three children that cannot be explained. I’m hoping one day I get through I think he might have some answers for me. I worked at mental Health for years I have a degree in criminology and psychology so I understand a lot of this but I am nowhere close to having the wisdom and knowledge of Dr. Cloud.

I was introduced to Boundaries over 16yrs ago through a Christian counsellor, who gave me the book. I’m able to relate to many of these callers but my mother unfortunately is worse 10 fold as to what I’ve personally experienced with a mother using scriptures against me. Now that we’ve reconnected after 16yrs, she’s even more controlling with the Bible. I’ll admit I have no idea how to respond respectfully to my mother as a Christian adult who has a relationship with Jesus Christ as my saviour. She sounds like she’s bat 🦇 shoot crazy compared to what others say about their moms. Not comparing but actually feel for my mom as she is NOT healthy or taken care of her past wounds.

There is something i have wondered about, and i do not want to come across in a “rude” way, but i sincerely wonder why so many people in the mental health field are so focused on “Narcissism”? How did our culture decide that this tendency is such a great problem?? Why can’t people be allowed to just be who they are?? I am not in a relationship with a person, who i am committed to, right now. But i keep getting told ,that i am. This very confusing to me as well. I have nothing to prove to anyone, and i live in my own private quarters, but it seems that i am continually intruded on and criticized for speaking what i think, and say, in my own private home. There have been a number of people, in my life, that have taken control of my life and put me in positions i never asked to be in.. NO ONE Asked me if i agreed or gave permission to anyone, to do this. This seems so disrespectful.

First, you need to heal yourself, so that you don't hunger so much after love and attention from other people anymore. What are the lies that you believe about yourself? The truth of God will make you free. Than you have to practice your bad behaviours away step by step.

Mine X Narcissist moved in with me two weeks after we met and he had his own home that he lost during bankruptcy

Yes I live with a narcissist man for years well married, he refused counseling he was raised by a very domineering grandfather OK I can’t even begin over 44 years to explain the physical, emotional, verbal, sexual you did not tell him no he was also very jealous of me so he would make snide remarks in front of our friends no one liked him but I did not have a good support system at all I just never figured out how to get out I literally spent all I have my life trying to help him he did believe it or not have a very heartwarming loving side but he also had an addiction to drugs he never drank mostly smoking pot which I never did. He absolutely thought he did not have a problem whatsoever he was very demanding when he got off work he expected a gallon of ice tea he worked in the heat every day and he would sit at the bar and drink a whole gallon of iced tea he never missed treated his kids physically but emotionally it hit them hard but it did not come out until their late 20s they loved him but they hated him over the way he treated me but that was not their fault that was my fault it is not as easy to walk out or was it in those days as it is now I honestly think he would’ve killed me before he wouldn’t let anyone else have me and he used to tell me that and to this day I cannot look at another man and he has been gone since 2020. I have been to many many counselors none of them seem to be able to help me you see I didn’t know there was a man like that because I had a wonderful father and mother so I did not know and they did not know what I went through. Why put them through that grief they thought they taught me better they did but he took that all away and made me feel so rejected Dr. Cloud tells me what I need to hear I have to read between the lines but I am truly still so broken I am trying to gain peace and acceptance to this world before the good Lord takes me I am only in my mid60s but I feel like I’m 80 in my mind. I don’t even know what a webinar is trying to figure that out anyway thank you Dr. Cloud, Jessica Greg and Alby. For anyone who wants to know how to get a girlfriend. Just become a narcicist! Don't be kind and nice, that will get you no where. Snapshot perfection and then criticize criticize criticise. Your plate will be full. Sadly, this is the way of the world, and I didn't make it that way.

Are counselors suppose to ask questions? Sounds like a silly question, but when I start talking I feel like I’m all over the place.
