Hi Laura, if there's one thing I've learnt while researching all plants including, cactus and succulents is, every time you move from one plant to another is, ALWAYS rinse your pruners/scissors in hot water, in order to completely alleviate the passing on of pests! But you never do that? I'm wondering why? In saying that, I love to see your passion come through in the way you plant these beautiful specimens with a constantly sincere smile that, also makes your eyes smile! I thank you for your authenticity and no frills attitude and the silly fun you guys have when designing or returning to clean up. You and your team are just so super down to earth and no fancy frills or make up for the cameras, it's a pleasant change, which I thank you for. Happy cactusing Laura.
Such a vibrant lovely personality & what a great video, I enjoyed every single second of it especially bentley, please Laura do us all a favor & keep the tips coming
I love watching your videos. Thanks Laura, this will help me a lot. I just started planting/propagating succulents and cacti about a year ago and I found out that I still have a lot to learn. Bentley loves the camera. Such a cutie. ♥
best photo bomb by a succulent dog ever! you know, been watching you for what, 2 weeks? 3 weeks? catching up on videos in the HOT afternoons here in orange county.... and i've learned SO MUCH already!!! thank you for the lessons and the inspiration!
Hi Laura! Your videos have helped me a lot not only in starting, but more importantly, maintaining my succulent planters and garden. Sending you some love from the Philippines!
I have been watching you for what seems like years! I moved back to Chula Vista a couple of years ago and fell in love with succulents. Thank you for all your wonderful tips, I learn so much from you! Can’t wait to get out there this weekend!
YES! I love it when you do these re set videos. That looks wonderful Laura. Looks so new and fresh. Wish more people would do this with there succulent gardens. Big pet peeve of mine is to drive by a house and see the set and forget mentality. 🌺
I live in St louis Missouri, and we have bipolar weather here . I just hope my succulents stay alive on my little balcony. BTW I love all your videos, very inspiring. ❤
I really love your videos, I am a sort of newie to succulents, planning on doing a garden in my back yard, thanks for the tips, Bentley is so into it all! Lol! Cute!
I wasn't actually pointing out *Laura's* brutality...I was excited to know that succs weren't delicate little flowers. That you could manhandle them and they wouldn't wither. They often have the appearance of being fragile and delicate, but then can survive in harsh conditions. Somewhat contradictory LOL! No, Laura knows EXACTLY what she can do with them and I was thrilled to see I didn't have to be scared to handle them. Sorry if my comment caused confusion as it seems to. Twas not a slight on Laura by any stretch of the word.
@@Beansie I knew what you meant :) succulents are very hardy and can recover brutality as long as you aren't in an area that has heaps of rain - very hardy however rot prone!
If you have a Facebook you should post the stuff you discard on the marketplace instead of tossing it ! I’m sure a lot of people would love your trash lol .
I absolutely love your work! So creative and eye appealing! I do have a question , , , I've watched you cut off cuttings and plant them in the ground without rooting. I've done that . . . waiting several days before watering . .. and the leaves turn black like they are burnt. Why?Appreciate any response you can give.Thank you Laura for your beautiful work and inspiration!
Shirley Graham hi! Hmmm... black leaves can be an indication of rot. If the leaves fall of at the gentlest touch or if there is black in the center(crown) of the plant, then I suspect rot and your succulents need a drier location. If the plant is otherwise intact, and the leaves are just dIscolored, sunburn may indeed be the cause. A location in the garden that offers some protection from the sun in the hotter hours of the day is advised. Best of luck and thanks for following!
Hi Laura! I live in Florida and I have been growing a succulent garden for about a year now. I recently discovered your channel and have binge watched for the last 2 weeks. I am star stuck. I have a question about if you think it would help my succulents grow faster and healthier if instead of cacti soil, if I used small pebble? With the frequent rain here it seems that the soil stays moist. Nothing is dying, I just want to make sure they don't start to! Lol
i really wish i could be your neighbor so that i can ask for the leftover or the old succulent leaf that you throw on the trash. i wanna propagate them so bad! in where I live succulent is a lil bit expensive. I hope you and your dog have a great day, God Bless! Big Hug from Indonesia!
This is such a different way of gardening than for me here in Ohio. The plants here...I cant just cut them up and stick em on/in the ground. They will all die. I know you dont like digging holes but its a must here. LOL
Hi Laura! I love your videos & I have a question. How are your succulents so big? Is it the way they grow over there? I just keep finding little ones & although I love them & am trying to grow my own stash I just can't get over how big & beautiful yours are. Thank you for your time 😊
Hi Laura, just found your video. I am a new gardner of succulents. I have a large pot that My plants have grown into HUGE BUSH! woukd,it be alright if i trimed them fron the top? Thank you kindly
I just got into succulents this year , I don't know what to do with them over winter here in NW Ga . I keep them in pots on my back deck , I don't have any room for all of them in the house , will they be able to overwinter in the garage ? I enjoyed your video, learned a lot, love Bentley ! Thank you !
I"m is in love with your work. I'm learning so much from you. You are a master. I would love to to know if you use fabric under the succulent and thank in advance. Stay safe and healthy.
I do know the matter of using words what I dont know is that sometimes I see 50% of my plants do grow what so called babies but the other half have never done that. At the part you said the mom has little guys on it maid me think theres some differance between moms and guys!!!!
Hamed Hasanpur they mature at different rates. Research the plant on wikipedia, there is a guide on bottom shows its growth patterns. Good luck! Don't give up :)
What a beautiful dog! Aloe veras are toxic to animals especially cats and dogs. Have you searched the toxic plants at aspca.org since u have a lot of plants?
Yeah, I think you should have a visit here: www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants I thought lemongrass is harmless to cats but when I searched it on that site, I found out that it was deadly! Along with herbs and common flowers. I also read that most of the cacti and succulents are toxic too so u better b cautious.
Personally I like seeing the trunk on some of those succulents especially the jade plants. So jealous you can grow jade like that in a year. It takes a whole year for a cutting to grow a couple inches for me.
She has long gutter boxes where she saves anything valuable. Succulents and cacti are not like a lot of plants. A lot of them die after they flower. She knows more than you do and she does have an adoption program.
The Truth Of The Matter same here😰😢.. Im glad to pay for the shipping.. and i live in Sweden😩.. of course, just the fact that she has so many and they making soo much babies.. I can with that understand her but I never ”discard” something tinytiny either😅
