I use a lot of succulents in my yard front and back yards. I'm learning so much from your videos. I've removed my lawn and will be taking our my old and unsightly "sidewalk concrete" and pavers. I'll be designing a drought-resistant yard using succulents, and various types of rocks.

Thanks Laura.....a succulent garden really is much like floral arranging. You can move them and redo them to your liking. It's a creative outlet, it's beautiful and it's calming. win-win!

I love how he never actually edits anything out, just puts it out there with your "do overs." I also live your work. I wish I had found you when my daughter lived in California, I would have packed her yard with succulents from side to side and top to bottom!

Thanks for your tips about replanting the euphorbia synadenium grantii. I have several that look hideous, and was waiting for the warmer weather to deal with them. I’m glad I can just chop them off and stick the leafy part back in the ground so long as it “stands up.” And the bonus of the stumps leafing out again is great! I guess I can deal with them in the same way as I treat my angel-wing begonias, except for the water requirements. Yay!

Literally cracking me up this morning! And yes I’ve started from the beginning today! Laid up with a knee injury today so I can’t go out and play in my garden, so I’m gonna watch you all day from the beginning. I nearly died with the naked comment. I never come up with those funny endings! Ha ha

Hello Laura, I have to say that I love watching your videos, so informative, fun, and most important beautiful. We have been working for months in getting rid of our lawn and creating a garden using drought tolerant plants(for the most part), and watching your videos has certainly been inspiring and informative with all the tips of the day. Our garden is getting close to 85%done, very slow because we have done all the work ourselves. Your garden is amazing! I can only hope ours turn out alright, we have taken a very personal direction to it but we have never worked with succulents, cactus, agaves, and aloes before so we are hoping we did our job well.... Maybe when we are done we can can you some pictures and get your input about it!! 😅😅😅 Very intimidating because you are such a master! Anyway, thank you for all your videos!!

Tip - a chopstick is just d right size to poke a hole in d soil before inserting usually slim stems of succulents. It’s better than trying to jam the stems into hardened soil with pebbles on top.
