I’m glad I’m not the only one who deals with these. Thank you for affirming that this is normal because I kept thinking something is wrong with my hair
Mines was to especially towards the back of my head. It got so bad that I had to literally shave my shoulder length hair off! It's regrowth and I've noticed, if you flat iron your hair you won't get them as often. Cut your hair and get a Japanese thermal treatment.
I dont even bother to cut off the knots so much anymore. For two years been doing that and every month I'd catch myself cutting off yet they always come back. Which also meant I was cutting off more than it was growing. So I stopped and accepted it lol. If there are big fairy knots or multiple on one strand, then I cut it off. My hair is finally back at the length it was 2yrs ago before I started continuously trimming.
Girl that was me, I only cut them when my wash day makes me cry. Like seriously, detangling with single strand knots is hell...and consistently cutting them is a set up for a set back
I just learned to keep my hair oiled/stretched. I twist or bantu at night and if they still appear I just let them do they thang 😂 They happen when our ends bunch up with the length. This happens if the hair is not well stretched or at night if you don't this your ends.
@@TWilliams-im8ir I do that and STILL get them. I’ve also noticed that if I have extreme moisture, they are plentiful. So, I don’t spray water directly into my strands, I steam my hair now. I’ve seen a TREMENDOUS improvement, but I still get them😔
I get very frustrated and give up to the point of just cutting it off and not giving a damn about my hair shape, both sides are so uneven now I’d do it all Again tho cause those single strand knots are hellll
The knots started happening,when I started wearing a bonnet ,the whole year of not using one I didn’t have a single knot. And it comes in a week or so after I untwisted my second twist ever
