The most common question that comes up when buying a new or used car with tons of badges and emblems is - "how do I debadge a car emblem with damaging the paint?".
Thinking back on my earlier days debadging cars in the early 2000's, it was a way to make you car stand out from the rest, and just give it a clean and simple look to it.
For many of us in the car community, our car is more than just a mode of transportation, it's a reflection of us. Well, debadging a car emblem can give it that clean, yet simple vibe we're going for in our own appearance.
There are essentially four simple steps you can take to debadge your car emblems easily and quickly. The steps are:
1. Use a fishing line to run it behind the car badge or emblem
2. Use a adhesive wheel remover to remove the adhesive behind the car badge or emblem
3. Use Goof Off to remove the remaining residue left behind from the emblem or badge
4. Use a detailer spray to polish the finish and paint back to perfection
