Hey Michael, Great video as usual. Many of us have been there and feel your pain! (I am with you...not really loving those hood supports much.) At least the pain is with an Amazing vehicle...I kinda wish I had that pain 😂 Sweet GTR brother! And good to see you had the moral support crew with you.
@@northwesternavenue yeah, it sucks when you spend money on something you’re hoping turns out great, only to find out that it’s not what you were expecting in terms of quality. I completely agree though, it’s nice to have that pain with a GTR, it’s a complete “first world problem”. 😂
@@BlockheadMoto 😂 you should come over and play this thing, it’s so much harder than I thought. The rain definitely helps. I want to see the updates you’ve made to the E36 🤩
You shouldn't need the bolt hole to line up with the vacuum line nipple, the inside of the bolt housing is beveled out 360° for air to flow all around the bolt itself. I run the same setup with no issues with VTA and my bolt holes dont line up with the nipple. If you ever get a chance pull the bolt out and look at the inside of the housing, air flows freely all around the bolt and will find the hole 😂
Awesome video, going to buy the rear kit. For the front I will be getting the spl upper control arm. Looks amazing. I can tell you very picky about your car lol, that parts you cleaned you will dirty in less than a month depending on how much you drive. Thanks for the video!
Did you go to like a regular alignment shop or a GTR shop? Did they have any issues aligning the rear? Did you Weber end up doing the front upper control arms?
@@prvideos8229 I took it to an alignment shop that can do lowered vehicles, but not necessarily a GTR specific shop. No issues aligning the rear. The fronts I have sitting on my work bench, waiting to be installed. 😅
Are the grille & trunk JCW badges slightly curved to fit the curvature of the car? I bought metal ones from another store that are completely flat so they don't on the car flush. Thanks
@@RyanMatthewsMDS I first loosened up the four bolts at the front of the downpipes/Quadzilla midpipe, then I loosened the clamp on the rear of the Quadzilla. Then we just wiggled it out. How are you doing it?
With the Baker grudge box what was your sprocket sizes for front and back to get your RPMs where they should be at? Do you know how many teeth on the front and the back pocket? Please let me know. Thank you.
Hi Michael. I was interested in buying seats from vivid racing. When I searched reviews for them, this video came up. Obviously you had issues with them. I come from the Mustang world. So American Muscle, Lethal Performance, Steeda. All of them, if there's an issue, you just request a refund on their chat and they email you an RMA immediately. It may take a few more days for the item to get to them so they can inspect it and process the return, but overall it's a pleasure. I know you had this specific issue, but do you think I'd be taking a big chance spending almost a grand with Vivid? The seats are Braum. Just read through the comments and Service manager responding to your RU-vid video saying he hopes no one else in the car community works with you. That's a huge red flag. He could've made a good out of the bad and apologized for the customer service, asked what could've been done to improve it and brought it to the attention of the Owners or higher ups to maybe take a look act customer service practices. I would've felt much more confident buying from them if he'd done that.
@@davable2505 you absolutely nailed it on all fronts. I deal with more than four dozen brands, and Vivid Racing is by far the worth company to do business with. I wouldn’t take free product from them if they offered me a $15k turbo kit to market it. Their customer service is the worst, and I could never recommend anyone to a company that steals and lies to their customers. I’ve had people message me on Instagram about how they got screwed over by Vivid Racing and scammed, even reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and they said that Vivid Racing didn’t even care. A brand that doesn’t care to be reported to the Better Business Bureau, avoid at all cost. As someone who owns businesses, I would do everything in my power, no matter the costs, to avoid someone being so dissatisfied that they would report my company to the Better Business Bureau. Vivid Racing has several hundred complaints. That’s mind blowing 🤯 I wouldn’t take the chance.
@@MichaelBertini Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'll go direct to Braum and pay the extra 100 bucks for piece of mind. Good luck with your project.
@@davable2505 you’re welcome, bud. Yeah, either direct or maybe check out Enjuku Racing. Their customer service has always been top notch for me and we don’t even work together. Good luck with the seats, Braum makes good stuff. 🤘🏼
I thought the same originally, but then this thing in the back of my head is saying "what's your life worth", which might be dramatic, but I'm not try to "F%*& around" and find out. 😂
@@MichaelBertini exactly, Where I got mine gave me 200$ off on the FP4 if I bought it at the same time, whyyyyyyyyy not. Now in a couple weeks when I cam it (cam/lifters/springs), Ill likely go PV. V&H exhausts are great, Tuner leaves something to be desired
@@MichaelBertini I bought a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500… little sports bike to start but I want to buy a bobber… I d like a cruiser to balance out the motorcycle meets lol..
My 98 Fatboy has the original factory belt on it and it is fine. If it breaks I have a chain conversion kit sitting in my shop. Changing a belt is a lot of work I can change a chain in a half hour and it can be done on the road with minimal tools.
@@ronrobertson59 so, true. The factory belts are super strong and more than enough for most power levels. The only reason I can think of for wanting to move away from belts is the aesthetic, the ease of changing, and maybe if you’re a “stunting” rider who does lots of wheelies.
slightly misleading video. they might all make decent power but every exhaust on here will make power vastly differently then each other. shorty pipes are 100% mid to high rpm pipes they lose a LOT of bottom end torque
@@sublimekid247 I can see where you’re coming from. The best and most recent video out on exhausts can be watched on Blockheads RU-vid channel. Chris does a full breakdown on a bunch of exhaust systems. 🙂🤘🏼
@@koriyuhboi436 I 100% agree with you. It’s the first thing I coded out was the pumped in sounds. My old Focus ST had a similar feature which I removed. Thanks for calling out. 👊🏼
@@uAdrien RVS Performance. It’s the best out of all the tunes we tried. If you let him know, Michael Bertini sent you from RU-vid I think the hook you up with a deal. Once you get it, let me know how you like the tune.🤘🏼
lol this dude overpaid for every light on his car and is telling you to do the same so he doesn't feel like the only one who was completely ripped. I understand wanting "quality " but $500 for taillights. lol
Either never sign into your accounts on these things or be sure to sign them out whenever u leave the car. These things just turn on and will give someone access to all your accounts which maybe more valuable than the car itself. Just think no one is going to set a passcode on these things its easy access to thieves for like 2 factor auth if u use email and u left this thing signed in to your google account. If you use google password manager on chrome they can log into all your accounts with saved pw's. Be careful.
Maybe sportmode is not lowder cause it has better combustion, less misfires. Misfires make the engine louder. Try with lower octane gasoline. I bet it ll be louder in every mode than with higer octane gasoline
Great Channel!!! Do you have any rubbing on the fronts running 285s? The 345s on the back are SIC! Do you have a traction kit and/or lowering kit installed. I’m looking to put 345s on and have a lowering kit and SBD traction kit. I would not think it’s an issue as it has more to do with the wheel than the tire?
Thanks! 🙂 I have no rubbing issues at all, but like you mentioned, it’s mainly due to your wheel specs. I also have the SBD traction kit, and no issues with rubbing on the rear, either. 🤘🏼
Sick! Hopefully you play. On servicing the trans and valve body ? Plan on doing it soon removing valve body cleaning micro filters ect and was hoping someone would make that video lol . Keep em coming !
Thanks, dude! 🤘🏼 Yeah, we were planning to film that video this week and then we heard these GTR Tesla screens were being shipped out, so we wanted to prioritize it while everyone is looking into buying one of these. We have some many videos on the calendar for this thing already, and some drifting stuff we’re getting into. A lots coming. 🙂👊🏼
