There are two optional extras that Fanatec supply for the Clubsport V3 Pedals - the Brake Performance Kit and the Damper Kit. In 4 and a half minutes flat I'll give you my opinion on who needs 'em and who's best to pass on it.

I bought my V3 together with the BPK and after some driving I installed the BPK ... the red and green, not too stiff. It works better for me than the stock foams, a short moving way with a defined good pressure point. For me very good pedals, I recommend the black spring in the throttle and in the the clutch also. I tested no damper now.

The brake performance kit is a must buy. I currently run 3 greens (cut the 3rd green down to the size of the foam bushing). Fun tip, if you have an 8020/aluminum extrusion rig, save yourself some money on inverted pedals and just flip them yourself. Buy a few pieces of profile, some corner brackets and just mount them upside down. Swapping the clutch and gas is very easy to do without much though and the wires are plug-and-play.

When I bought my Fanatec gear (V3 Pedals (With BPK), Clubsport V2, and Formula V2), I decided against the Damper kit as most reviewers seemed to suggest it wouldn't be worth it, especially compared to the BPK, but after having many issues with UPS involving taxes, stolen items, and many more issues, Fanatec gave me a coupon to cover some of the issues, so I might actually get this damper kit with it for pretty much nothing :') Thanks for the video :D

How does the Fanatec CSP V3's with the brake performance kit stand up to pedals like the Sim-Jack Pro, Sim-Alien pedals or the Girrosim XR Pro pedals? At $420, they are right in the middle of the Alien and Girro's prices, but I want to know if its worth it to go with any of the other pedals for a little more or less (in the case of the Sim-Jacks). I will be coming from a set of Fanatec CSL-Elite LC V1 pedals. While I like some features of the CSL-ELITE pedals, not being able to adjust the brake to sit proud of the throttle when fully applied, is dissappointing. The CSP V3's can do this to some degree, with the BPK and some modifications. But the Jacks, Girros and, Aliens can do this right out of the box via minor adjustments. Plus the 3 aftermarket pedalsets allow me to place the pedals exactly where I want. The Fanatec CSLE'S pedals can get me close but the CSP's are kind of a goofy solution to pedal position. Software wise, DiView is a manual version of what Fanatec offers, so its a wash in my book. Plus my CSL-E's work better on DiView... So it will be second nature for me to set them up. So how does the CSP V3's compare to these other pedals?

If you can get the V3's with BPK and Damper for that budget then you're pretty much set, you won't want to upgrade. Otherwise the CSL Elite with Load Cell Kit has much praise and comes in well under budget.

I upgraded from the elites with LC ( my elite LC pedal broke after three years of abuse ) to the V3’s and also bought the BPK as per you tube reviewers advising to do so. The stock set up is awful and I was 3/4 of a second a lap slower in GT3 cars at formula tracks. Not only that they feel horrible and are squidgy and mooshy. The BPK is more immersive and made me slightly faster than the elite plus load cells.

@@ThisLadWayne Squishy sound is normal because it's forcing fluid through an adjustable chokepoint. Don't forget that you would want higher settings 4-8 if you attached it to the brake pedal, and settings 0-4 if you attached it to the throttle. Rough estimates based on my own experience.

@bernardste
@bernardste 3 года назад
I bought Bpk. Used and try with almost all the combinations,but I totally lost pedal travel,and immediately became too stiff to use. Brake became on/off erasing any chance of trail braking . I removed,and I found again the right feeling. I usually drive with only socks,shoes are for real racing in my opinion (I prefer without them,even if I own kart shoes) I think it’s a lot personal,and it’s incorrect to say it should be installed by default. My opinion.
@dannyleeracing
@dannyleeracing 3 года назад
Your opinion is valid - Clubsports do kinda demand shoes to use properly otherwise it'll be painful to use, I found that to be the case when I transitioned from G29. If you found the brake to be on/off then you may find that to be down to calibration more than anything but if you've got it how you like it then no need to revisit.
@bernardste
@bernardste 3 года назад
@@dannyleeracing I think this V3 has a lot of settings you can set,and even if I disagree that BPK should be already installed,I think you’re right when you say it should be included (into the box). There’s a lot of settings you have to try,and find the right one to be really comfy. There’s even some compromise you have to accept imho,because you’re right,stiffer is more realistic,but it doesn’t mean more performance. A lot of options you have to consider (preload yes/no,travel and how much,shoes yes/no, left or right foot for braking..),and find the right one. I recalibrate manually every time with Bpk,but even if inputs in the game are better,lack of travel for my style is more important,so I decided not to use it. Coming from a G29 too and it’s a big upgrade, but needed some time to get used to.
@dustinglenn829
@dustinglenn829 3 года назад
@@dannyleeracing I had a hard time getting used to the pressure based brake coming from the thrustmaster TMX but the performance kit helped a lot. The cork like rubber really gave it a nice up front squish and helped me get used to it and especially trail brake. Having it on the lowest setting with a green/red combo I've found it to be insanely immersive and fun. Personally I think variable rubbers inside are an absolute must for the feel of trail braking, my best advice for anyone struggling with it.
@stoss-11
@stoss-11 Год назад
All i have to say is DONT BUY IT, i tried all green and all red and it’s so stiff even after the pedals have been recalibrated that you can’t even press the brake to 100 if u tried and the car doesn’t slow down in the game. The piston on the shaft has plenty adjustment to make it way more stiff if you want. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND BUY THE KIT. Fanatec really does have a reason why they don’t include this kit with the pedals lol i like a stiff brake pedal to, don’t get me wrong, but those stiffer spacers are for some crazy ass applications that 75% of ppl i don’t think necessarily need
@ViaticalTree
@ViaticalTree 8 месяцев назад
What you’re saying here doesn’t make sense. The choice of elastomer doesn’t affect the amount of force it takes to brake at 100%. It affects how far the pedal travels before you reach 100%. The amount of force is only dependent on the brake force setting in the software. This is how a load cell works.
@chrispictures1
@chrispictures1 3 года назад
These pedals are not as good as csl elite load cells.......I use the bpk and the creaking is horrendous,and it makes no difference how much grease i use...... there is also a scraping where the pivot enters into the section where the elastomers are.....my v3 are now going to be packed away and putting my elites back.......the seperate rubber options is a bad idea also as they quickly soften requiring constant recalibrating... i,m currently trying to think of a totally different material to use for dampers, i,m certainly going to try without the foam piece,as this squashes in a matter of minutes......these pedals are all show,,, simplicity is the key without having to strip everything down each time a small change is needed.......MY ADVICE IS. “GET THE ELITE LOADCELL
