Many thanks to both of you! I’m seventy-five years old and my mindset has been - I wish I had figured out how to be tidy and organized in my early years. I have felt hopeless. You both have helped me see that it’s not a flaw in my character but a misunderstanding of how my creative, easily distracted mind works. Thank you for helping me get started.

I understand how you feel, Lynda. I wish I had figured out how to be more on the ball on getting things done in my earlier years! But we can always grow, right? Plus I understand the hazards of being creative and easily distracted as that describes me as well! One of the things that has been really helping me is to make a list, put an estimated time on each item, and then set the timer for each item! This helps me keep from being distracted. When I'm tempted to get down on myself, I think, I'm doing really great for someone with my personality! Dana has so many great RU-vid videos on cleaning and organizing that should be helpful too!

I loved this interview. We moved from a large house to a cabin and I realized that I could not have so much stuff. As you say, it would not fit in the space. I will have to get the book to learn even more! Thanks Barb and Dana. And Barb, have a wonderful summer. I hope you get to stay there until the fall for the colors! Also, I loved the concept of "better." I think that works in lots of areas. I think when I truth journal, I can ask -- I know this wasn't perfect, but is it better. I broke my boundary. I realized that I was better because in the past, I have not even realized I had broken my boundary. You two gave us lots to think about. At 71 I can still learn!!!

So glad you loved the interview, Mary. I bet that was a huge project downsizing the contents of your house to fit in a cabin! Are you enjoying life in the cabin? It sounds fun! I'm so glad you reminded me of the "better" concept. I need to keep reminding myself of it! I'm glad Dana brought it up in the interview. We are planning to stay in New England for fall colors unless the perfect job pops up in the west! We're heading off to Acadia this weekend to go camping. It's fun to explore new places!
