How to Decoupage on Furniture with a poster/ thick paper the easy way without bumps or wrinkles

That is a very classic design choice. Nice to see someone so much younger than me decide to go with it. That, of course, makes you a class act. LOL

I LOVE this! Another thing you can do is once you have your poster attached, lightly sand away the edges to create an irregular edge, making it softer and easier to "blend in" with paints.

This piece was completely stunning in person. You did a great job with the hand painting and blending for a consistent look. It was just beautiful.

My favorite part of that video is how you included your frustration part. That was great. I get so frustrated and stuck all the time and I feel like I've ruined pieces. I do it almost every time. But it was nice to know that even a professional like you goes through the same thing. Its not always easy and helps to know there is a long road of process that comes between before and after pictures or videos. That was really cool.

OMG, That looks gorgeous!! My problem is finding cool pieces like this. You must live in the same city as me!! I'll have to travel to outer towns to find cool pieces!!! I love mid century modern furniture!! I scour FB marketplace often and sometimes see good pieces but oftentimes they want too much for my budget. I just found your channel and happy that I did!! I've seen several You Tubers do this technique. I think the poster would blend better into the piece if you would tear the edges before applying it and then when the sealer is dry, sand the edges before painting it in...that's unless you WANT the edges to be meaningful in some way. I love your creativity!

So glad I found this video - I buy a lot of random prints from 2nd hand stores and consignment that I apply as decoupage...so the wallpaper paste tip was fantastic! This project looks fabulous! And...your encouragement to whimsical and artistic is inspiring.

Love how the knob handle are placed --- making them look like they are holding up her dress --- giving the print an extra dimension!

Beautiful job! For blending the colors I think you would benefit from learning color theory. There are some RU-vid videos on how to make a color from any color. Once you learn that you will find blending to be rather easy.
