9:52 everyone’s the hero of their own story 😜 Thank you so much for this! I’m working through all heroes against the core set villains, and Klaw is by far the trickiest for me! Rhino is simple enough and Ultron is easy to deckbuild for; however, Klaw has proven the hardest to win consistently against. PS great thumbnail for this video!!! 💯

When all you have is the Core box, Rhino to Klaw is a big step up in difficulty. I remember that it took me 3-4 tries to beat him. These days, I use him for deck testing.

Agreed. But I really wish they’d have given Rhino 2 main schemes to not punish solo players for going to AE. Klaw and Ultron are still really good villains though.

My favorite matchup by far when I was new to the game was Black Widow in Protection vs. Klaw. It's challenging in that Nat has very little health and needs to build, but she's also great at handling threat and she has tools to deal with Klaw's shenanigans. The biggest challenge is the other Masters of Evil - Protection, especially with the early card pool, does not have a lot of good tools to deal with beefy minions. For a fun mod set, I've recently tried out Savage Land from AoA. The minions are smaller and not quite as nasty, but on the other hand Klaw gets 1 Retaliate that you can't get rid of.

Awesome format and loving the early game playthroughs to learn the game. Could you also just expand a bit on the revealed vs "in play" again? And which parts are activated vs. ignored. Ty!

Great video! I really don’t like Klaw, though. I understand why he’s such a bread and butter villain, and I’m not saying he’s a bad one - I just don’t find it fun to play against such a swingy villain that, over the course of 3 turns, can hit you for anything from 0 to 15 or more. It becomes too much of a game of luck.

I think part of why Klaw was always a problem for me is because I'm a build player at heart. I would always get unlucky and have painful minions to start the game (Radioactive Man). The first time I fought Klaw was also the first time I played Miles Morales, and I had no idea what I was doing. So I kinda just got smacked around.....

Can you let me know why can’t you defend against Klaws vengeance & sonic manipulation? Do you mean my hero defending or then using an ally? I’m still learning. Ty!

You can defend when KV has him attack you. If you block with an ally though, they will take damage (unless they have a tough status) though, and you will place 1 threat on the main scheme. SM isn’t an attack, so you cannot defend that.

Which scenario are you using? Masters of Evil definitely makes him harder. His low scheme threshold makes it not optimal to flip a lot with your hero.
