There's a lack of real analytical content creators and articles and videos about the advanced aspects of deckbuilding. This is a great video and really just scratches the surface on more advanced deckbuilding considerations. You could spend a lot of time on rules of thumbs - things like how many allies to run, how many targets do you need for power it's/limited generators, events vs upgrades, # of resource generators (which I'm not sure I consiously thought of but yeah, I'm in the 4-6 camp including Sig ones), etc. Archetypes usely come in 2 main varieties - ones where you are including cards based around a general theme and the cards generally just all do similar things - like recursion, Perfect Defense, Attack/Ready, Event Justice And then ones where you have a card or 2 that is the center of the deck and the other cards are included based on that card - a few not mentioned are Fluid Motion, Boot Camp, X-Men Training cards.

Hey! Thanks - and I completely agree with everything you say. I've thought about doing some technical/analytical content before, video or article, but it's a big time commitment. And I do have answers for everything you mention on rules of thumb that I personally use as soft guidelines in my own deck-building!

Whenever a new hero is released I have a list of a few builders whose take in the meta I look forward to seeing and reading. VT is at the top of that list. A good number of my house decks started a VT decks. You are a valuable resource, sir. Thanks to Nelson for the post.

Massive fan of villian theory's decks, has definitely inspired alot of my own decks and the way I think about building, as well as nelson they both help me think outside the box with combos and strategies. Thanks for the great video and the long list of deck builds from these 2 OG champions

Things I would love to see from Marvel Champions are: 1) Defenders Expansion or hero packs for Daredevil, Moon Knight, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Elektra. (seriously, where the heck is Daredevil lol) 2) A brand new core game that's still completely playable with the current game, the only difference being that the characters you build decks for are villains and anti-heroes, and the "bosses" you fight are the heroes, ie Venom - Eddie Brock "hero" deck or Shocker - Herman Schultz "hero" deck with one of the "villains" being Spiderman.

This is going to be so helpful. I will have sinister motives later today and working on it tomorrow. I really want to learn to work with protection. I understand it has to be a fit depending on the hero and villain. Please send me any deck lists you recommend for: Star Lord Ghost Spider Miles I see VT’s deck lists. If you have any Nelson, I’d love to see them.
