@@nateh1926yeah just ran into this same issue too lol. Clean install of LSPDFR worked fine. Went on to adding cars and no matter what I uninstalled wouldn't work.

Why isn't there just an anti cheat function that makes you play base game online, that avoid the hackers I hear about. Just now starting to play GTA V, been dicking around with mods, came here to clear and go online so I have a challenge, mods ruined the grind for me.

Man I'm having issues. Not with uninstalling or anything but I can't find answered anywhere. I have mods installed. Was running great, no errors or anything, all of a sudden during the last hesit, the big score, I keep getting game memory error during mission. Haven't added any new mods since the beginning. Not sure why it just randomly started doing it. Any ideas? I only have visual IV, better wep sounds and real car park with a few addon and replaced car mods. Any clue?

That's definitely odd.. I would try looking at all the mods you have installed and make sure the creator didn't do a new update for the chop shop update. With what you have installed its hard to think you're missing files .. lmk if that works, if not ill see what else I can do for you

@@DwightFilms that's what I was thinking. Maybe a recent update within the last day. I'll look into. I bypassed the part where I was getting game error by teleporting to destination and it worked. But after I just beat it, it did it again randomly. I even edited the game config with a higher density multiplier that I found online.worked great up until now. Fairly new to modding but have had a lot of experience in the past month as that's all I've been doing. Seems to crash when driving a vehicle that's vanilla. When I drive an addon car or a car replaced with car pack. Seems fine?! Idk if that info helps

Unless you have an outdated copy of openiv, you can go ahead and use the same one!

@@DwightFilms the thing is bro my corruption came from a mod dowloaded via package installer and i went through deleting lots of dlc packs and that, will that be fine or?

If you deleted everything from the mod that corrupted you should be good. Relaunch and see what happens. (package installers usually have a few things in places we don’t check). Once you check and see, if it still won’t load your game then I suggest doing a full wipe and starting over.

@@marazie8921 1:28 from the video. It’ll walk you through uninstalling on openIV then your GTA directory. You’ll verify your game, meaning all the original files that are needed to run GTA story mode, online, etc will be back . From there you’ll have your clean copy to start modding again. Id also suggest making a backup copy of your game so if this happens again you can have the most recent clean GTA to see the extra files that have been added and you can just delete from there

All you needed to do is to just rename the dinput8 file to something else like dinput81. All the mods/scripts will be disabled this way.

No it shouldn’t, your saved game files will remain the same and you’ll load back in where you left off as well.

When uninstalling the asi manger files will all the OIV mods I used prior to clean start be deleted or will they still be there. Should I completely uninstall OpenIV?

This will uninstall everything and place original files back + add any back that you might've been missing. Mods, cars, MLO, etc.

It will not show anymore once you delete it. Your GTA Rockstar folder will be wiped completely of mods and NOTHING will show

so i downloaded mods but now i kinda dont want the mods but to install the mods i had to like change stuff in the files and everything but if i just uninstall the game from epic games (where i got it) and reinstall it is it just going to like delete every files from gta and then start it from scratch again? cause i saw vids on like how to get a clean version of gta to play online and stuff and have also a different modded version to play mods and everything and its like way easier to just make the two files if its already clean. basically what im saying is, will epic games delete every files and else of gta 5 if i uninstall it there

Hey! So… To answer your question first off. Yes, if you go to your epic games and “verify” your game it’ll put back all the original files you might’ve taken out when installing a mod. Now if you want to prevent this next time.. when you install new mods just make a new folder on your desktop, put the GTA original files in that folder, then when you no longer want that mod you can just add back the original files instead of having to uninstall/verify/reinstall your game. Also, if you’re just trying to get online, it’s the same process. You don’t have to uninstall everything just put your mods/scripts/dinput8 into that new folder on your desktop. As long as your game looks like the screenshot at 2:12 you should be good

@@herculeslol1 yes correct. Just make sure the folder you make with all your mods is on your desktop and not still in the main GTA V Directory

Hey man need some help. So I downloaded some mods(they worked) and closed the game to get some more. Ever since I added the new ones my game always crashes. will this help me to just clean my game so it will at least open? Like a fresh start.

Whats up . So id suggest going back and uninstalling the new mods you added once your game started to crash. You can do one at a time and you'll find out that way which one isn't compatible. Another way you make sure you run into this problem less is making sure the most updated download file is current to Scripthookv or the latest GTA update. Sometime that means running the older version amd not updating just so you can play what you like. Also check the most recent comments of the mods you want and sometimes if something is "broke" causing you to crash it might be happening to someome else and there could be a fix
