DERESTRICTING THE YAMASAKI YM50-RE 2018 68 PLATE FOR FREE WITH NO MECHANICAL SKILL REQUIRED. Share The Video: • How To Derestrict The ... Ride and Drone: / zerokool789
Easy to unrestricted and still get neutral & gear selector status on the dash. Just remove the diodes on the left hand side and replace with a gizmo you can buy from cheap bikes r us. Costs approx £45 inc postage and takes less than 10 mins to do. There is a video by ride and drone showing how it’s done
So I believe my bike is still restricted I'm gon a go check this wire but before as you said my max speed was 34 but went out today and got up to 38 anyone else have this happen?
My bike doesn’t have this there is three cables instead... do you recogn that one is the Rev limiter one is the neutral light and one is the gear indicator???
Wait so just to be sure , I just unplug that then it’s fine , but I just can’t see what gear I’m in and if I’m in neutral so I’ll just have to remember what gear it’s in ? Other than that it’s fine ?
what i don't understand is when people say it needs the engine breaking in first before you de-restrict the bike because the restriction is only a legal requirement for the UK but the engine is capable of doing the 40-48mph anyway surley?
Hi, i have the Yamasaki Leewy C8Rock 50, and was looking around for that plug. I think i stumbled across it as it looks like a very similar shape. However when i unplugged it the neutral and gear indicators still showed, and when ever the bike is in gear the engines cuts itself off. Do you think it could be internal on the engine or there is a plug which needs to be found still?
Seems kinda dangerous losing your gear indicator and neutral light. Could you do a speed test comparison restricted vs de-restricted, flat ground, up hill, down hill?
I'm pretty positive you can snip the pink wire and the rest of your stuff will work. Just snip the pink wire and plug it back in. Do your research first though.
Hi, my son has the gold/white Zorro which is an identical machine. Will get onto derestricting it and upload a comment with top speed etc. Already removed the two diodes which limit the revs in 2nd and 3rd. Asked manufacturer about "full power" ECU and told it won't change top speed. In touch with manufacturer because I'm the one who imports the Zorro! Thanks for your uploads though, very informative.
Oh wow, that's great to know! And these Chinese bikes are restricted weirdly. I originally thought it was the ECU too. And i would love to be told about what information you can find out about your bike in the future 😊
Tony Temple hi, thinking of getting the zorro, is it yourself that's selling them on eBay? How easy is it to derestrict them? Any info would be appreciated
@@stevenpoole6575 Hi, yes it's me selling them. As for derestricting there are two diodes which limit the revs which are easily removed. I am currently discussing with the factory if there is anything else which can be done to release a few more MPH. Will keep threads updated with any further info. Will be changing the can and perhaps an extra tooth on front sprocket on my son's over the next week or so. Thanks for getting in touch, I'm not really much of a "techie" so my apologies if it takes a while to reply. Cheers.
I think best to use the de-restricted method CheapBikesRUS offer (£45), because doing what you have done here in the video leaves the RPM open to no limits whatsoever, therefor blowing the engine very very easily. The de-restricted unit @ CheapBikesRUS will have a limit around 12,000 RPM to allow a safe unrestricted driving experience, but also protecting it from going BEYOND 12,000 RPM.
@@louisbloodworth9175 42 - 43mph on flat to 46mph on a down-slope. It will take a good drive in (700miles+) to reach this as its all down to how the engine is broken in.
@@NathRides no problem,my nephew has just purchased one and I just wondered,I will have a look once he has the engine broken in,thanks for taking the time to reply 👍
Andy Everett I have the 2020 model and I don’t believe it has the same cabling as the older models. But I’m sure there is a way to derestrict it for free. If you do find a way to derestrict it, please contact me!
This is not how you derestrict the Yamasaki YM50-RE anymore, do not use this method as it will cause the bike to not work. CheapBikes R Us no longer send out derestrictors due to legal reasons. This may change though so worth giving them a call no matter what.
