dimensional analysis is analysis using the fact that physical quantities added to or equated with each other must be expressed in terms of the same fundamental quantities (such as mass, length, or time) for inferences to be made about the relations between them.
here we use dimensional analysis as a technique to derive equations or call it to find formula of a quantity using dimensional analysis. This is only possible when we have an idea about the factors upon which a physical quantity depends. here we explore fundamental and physical quantities of matter. The three basic quantities of matter include length, mass and time, their standard units being meters, kilograms and seconds respectively. All the physical quantities (derived quantities) are related to these three basic quantities. The basic quantities cannot be expressed in terms of other physical quantities whereas the derived quantities are physical quantities which are expressed in terms of other physical quantities and they include but aren’t limited to velocity, acceleration, force etc.
