How to descale the Prep Machine | First Time Mum UK
Hi guys,
I just wanted to share how I descale the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine which we used to make baby's bottles through the night. Please do your own research on the machine and make your own decision of if you feel comfortable using one. It worked for us and our family and I thought this video may be helpful to those of you who use one as well so I wanted to share.

@@RuksanaAhmed do you go off the BRP expiry date or date of first entry into UK on initial spouse visa when calculating the 60 months time limit to apply for ILR. Our BRP expiry is October 2023 but my wife entered UK in July 2018. Any guidance would be appreciated

Can inuse star drop white vinegar to descale? Anything that says white vinegar. Always follow your vids since my first wee one 😊

Thanks. Hit panic when I went to supermarket and bought this vinegar, didn't know if it was the correct one or not. Came for the vinegar. Stayed and Followed the rest of ur instructions although I have the day n night

Hehe, any white vinegar will do the trick. It's malt vinegar you want to stay away from, that's for your fish and chips 😆

Guys don’t walk away while waiting for the vinegar to filter through! I went to sit in the lounge, came back after hearing the beep and the jug had moved and there’s vinegar all over my kitchen 😩😩😂

Oh no! Thankfully, it’s not happened to me…yet, but sometimes I see the bottles moving when they’re on that little tray when making milk.

Does the machine smell of the vinegar after? I did it years ago and just couldn’t get rid of the smell, even the milk would smell of it 😢

Hlw mam currently I am in UK, after one week my husband applied his dependent visa but they rejected reason marriage photos are not genuine what to do sir, I know our photos was simple and we are from different religion but it's real marriage if we will apply second time then the photos will be same na please reply??

Hi, it’s very strange that they would say the photos are not genuine. I can only think it will be because of the kinds of photos that were provided, what do they show? Do they show the two of you together? Your family there also? Maybe explain what is happening in each photo next time. If you aren’t showing faces, explain why, is it because of religion? It’s hard to say when I can’t see the photos

Milton tablets will sterilise your machine (I have another video where I show you how to use them) but they won’t descale the machine which is a what the vinegar will do.

My calc is flashing but very very faintly flashing I even did this process but still happening?

Hey, I think what you’re on about is something my machine used to do. Flash really really faintly whilst making the milk. I researched it and read that it was a fault with a batch of these machines so we must have just got a machine from that batch. As long as it’s not on when the machine is not in use and it’s not a dark solid/flashing light I think your machine is fine. To give me piece of mind, I took the back of the machine off and made sure that the pipe work clean all the way through cuz there are some nightmare stories out there about them getting clogged up with black sludge.

i broke mine as well with boiling water! Use just warm water not boiling!!!!!

Aww no, I am so sorry to hear that. I wonder why some machines work fine after but others don't. Even Tommee Tippee themselves recommend boiling water 🤷‍♀️

Oh no, I am really sorry to hear this. I don’t know why this happens to some and not to others. You’ve definitely pressed the button and done the practice shot and then pressed it again for the hit shot?

If you buy brand new then I think you should be fine to just clean and sterilise it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8LhyZXduzAQ.html. Mine is actually secondhand so this is a step I did as well as the sterilisation before I used it for baby.

Aww really sorry to hear it. I’ve never had this issue. Even the tommee tippee official video says to use boiling water do the machine should be able to handle it. I’ve done this to my machine soooo many times and never had an issue so I don’t understand why some do.

Sorry to hear that. I’ve done this a lot of times to my machine and it’s always been fine. Even the tommee tippee tutorial on this mentions you need to add boiling water so I’m not sure why that has happened. Remember there is a test cycle first and then you should be able to start making bottles again the next time you run it. Hope that’s all it was

I tried the test cycle and nothing came out and then all the lights went off I think it overheated , don’t know what happened

Oh no, I’m really sorry to hear it. Maybe try changing the fuse 🤷🏻‍♀️
