Im using cs4 on a 2013 macbook left shift + left control + ] only allows me to shift selected area to the right ......is there another way to make the corrections or am i doing something wrong @5:13 on the video please help im new to this

You can move the layers with Ctrl + Shift + ] or [ to move layer down
