Thank you. Very useful video. I need to have the frequency response of this system and see the resonance frequencies. Do you have any simulation for that, please?
In the absence of external force, F=0, the natural frequency will be the value when the phase of the frequency is -90 degrees (can be easily deduced from bode plot). Now, in this 2 mass systems, both masses may have different natural frequency. f=1/(2π)×√(k/m); mass m and spring constant k So, f1 = 1/(2π)×√(k1/m1) f2 = 1/(2π)×√(k1+k2/m2) Cheers Programmer World programmerworld.co -
Set the initial value in the integrator blocks to 0. 1st integrator block is for velocity and 2nd one for displacement. You can set both to 0 in case you start with 0 velocity and 0 displacement as the initial condition. If no force is there then make the 'F' constant block as 0. For reference, the details shown in this video is also shared in the below link: programmerworld.co/simulink/design-two-mass-damper-spring-system-in-simulink/ Cheers Programmer World programmerworld.co -
very informative video. can you plz explain to me how to model this 2-dof model with piezoelectric material in parallel with the suspension spring and tire?
Hi do you know how to model a tow direction mass spring damper vibration(vertical and horizontal) system in Matlab or Simulink? If you can also make a vedio about that it will be amazing.
Bro, my F function is not a constant. It is F(t) = 30*cos(1.3*t) and i can't put the F(t) function in the my system. Fisrt, I identified the F(t) in the parameter worksheet. Then, I called my function. But it doesn't work. How can i fix the problem?
Simply use Cosine (Cos) block in your SL model to simulate the cos function. For considering time 't' use Clock block in model as the input to the Cos block. Cheers Programmer World programmerworld.co -
I think for any physical system to be modeled in Simulink, you will first have to derive it's mathematical equation. Once the mathematical equation is available, then implementation of each part of the equation can be done as shown in this video. Cheers Programmer World programmerworld.co -
