The fact that she seems to blame her trauma on Batman shows how little the writer understands either of them. In every incarnation, Batman has been trying to help her free herself from Joker's abuse. The Arkham games made it explicitly clear that Joker beat her and sexually exploited her.

0:33 Arkhamverse Harley canonically tortured Jason Todd (2nd Robin) when he was a teenager, until his mind broke and he hated Bruce. She was also with the Joker before and after he shot and paralysed Barbara Gordon (Batgirl). You need to drastically fix your canon or write better if you ever want me to believe Harley can rightfully make statements like this. The writing for this game is abysmal, they made the same mistake the comics made: the first three games wanted psycho villains Harley and now these writers want the morally ambiguous anti-hero Harley and have done nothing to justify the change.

Bruce was never affected by Joker's blood but his latened fear was becoming the Joker so when he got hit with the fear toxin he became the Joker and Bruce no longer existed.

His death was still horrendous, but even then, the groundedness of the Universe makes his unceremonious end at least a tad bit believable. It's likely a person in that world would suffer a similar death. But Batman is a Super Hero. His unceremonious death is ridiculous and way worse than Joel's. A fictional Hero like Batman would in no way shape or form die like he did. Even more so when he's the main character of a 15 year old franchise that has him at the helm. Similarly to Joel, he was put out like a dog, and that just shows how much his death was worse, because it is inconceivable for a character like him to go down like this, it doesn't fit the Universe. It's ridiculous. It is the worst death in gaming. It is insulting to the fans, to Conroy and to the franchise that's responsible for their studio's existence

That being said, this is still absolutely WILDLY bad with how they killed him. 1 they mention IN THIS VERY GAME that his helmet is bulletproof and has lead, so it doesnt make sense. 2. He has literally beaten these characters before, and most of them are super low tier villains anyway. Even with batman's poor writing with plot armor he shouldnt EVER lose to these characters. 3. flash gets killed by regular bullets after mocking deadshot the entire game and even juking a point blank gun he isnt looking at.

Batman could have broken his trance, say something along the lines of "do it, kill me, the world doesnt need this Batman anymore". It would have displayed his undying commitment to his moral compass and demonstrated what sets him apart from the other heros. Unlike them, he has no super powers to rely upon, all he has is his own sheer will power which would align with Harley's claim that "even when your bad, your still too good." This would have been a perfect segway into his death I think and a respectful way to end his character and complete Harley's arc.

Even in the 1989 version Batman's bullet tanking ability was highlighted; which was established from sources in the comic books. His suit being resistant to bullets is a canon thing in the live action movies, animated series, and comics of old. He's one of the few non-powered superhero characters in comics who could actually survive a gunshot to the head because of the established technology Bruce Wayne uses.

Mass demoralization is the goal. You'll notice it in everything. Every documentary, (almost) every game and movie and book. None of them are positive. I never really played the Batman games, but could see how this would feel like shit after all the stuff that was built up from the other games set in the same universe. To send Batman off on that kind of note and to top it all off, it didn't even show the part right after he's shot where Boomerang dude pisses on Batmans body totally ruining even a semblance of emotional tension in the scene. Oof My sincerest condolences to anyone who cared for that game series.

It's not the fact that he died, it's the way that he died. Arkham Batman was a beast, he should've at least died in an honorable way, not like this. It's funny how I started playing the trilogy few weeks ago and this is what I see now, I'll cherish it to the max.

I feel like it would have been better if during the Batman boss fight you get to play as Arkham Batman and the game changes so it’s the same controls as the previous Arkham games and you have all of the gear from the games and you just absolutely go Ham on the squad and for each member you take down Bruce starts to regain control than when you beat the last member Batman takes full control and as his last act he takes himself out to give the squad a chance.

1st: DC has been trying to destroy Batman and Bruce Wayne ever since Arrow premiered on the CW. 2nd: That being said, Arkham Knight (even with its technical and narrative flaws) had the best send off. 3rd: I need to get this off my chest, but ever since Suicide Squad(Live action film) Warner Bros and DC Media have turned Harley Quinn into Taylor Swift levels of annoyance.

I find it dumb that the devs outright gave Batman the possibility to kill the squad but for some f reason Batman decided to teleport away rather than shooting the squad when they were knocked out by him.

Exactly. The writers or producers wanted to create their own legacy but it is quite obvious that batman is a beloved character especially the arkham batman. And Kevin Conroy was his last performance. Put the two together and they should have realize this wasn't a good choice. They could have had batman sacrifice himself for the justice league and save everyone else then create their own seperate games in the future. That would have been more respectable to the character and the actor.
